This was an interesting (disappointing) experience. Details below. Decor is cool, there’s indoor and outdoor street seating on a busy road. 3 stars because it started out good and most of the food and drinks was good, staff was not great but also not rude. Sat down at 8pm, ordered at 8:15, got our wine at 8:20, starters arrived at 8:25, cleared the plates after we finished them (so far, great experience). After continuously being ignored while trying to get staff’s attention for 1 HOUR, we finally asked the waiter about our main and they whipped it out in 10min but at this point it was 9:40pm. The staff was serving one table next to us but actively kept their backs against us. The other table next to us waited so long to place an order they just walked out again. Food quality wise, the starters were good, my partner enjoyed the lamp chops main but my lemon ricotta pasta was doughy and undercooked (the inside was dry and not warm). I hate wasting food and I’m not very picky but I honestly couldn’t even finish it. The drinks were good. Staff was not apologetic about the wait and didn’t offer us any discount or even free dessert. Although after waiting 1 hour and 40 min to get our main we did not want to stick around longer.

What a wonderful way to spend our first night in Paris! We asked our hotel concierge for a dinner recommendation and he suggested Fitzgerald! We were tired from a long day of travel and found it to be a perfect blend of tailored, casual dining paired with exceptional quality. From the start with some beautiful French wines, followed by fresh produce in a well paired salad it was a wonderful dinner! The best part was the 5 star service from Matissa. She is friendly, helpful, gave us food and wine suggestions (at our request), and even shared some of her favorite spots in Paris for us to visit during our stay. We had mixed reviews from friends who have visited Paris as to the French disdain for American tourist. But, Matussa set the bar high for a fabulous tour de Paris. Well done!

Conclusion : oui bien. Mais fu fait du tarif je ne reviendrai pas. Cela ne mérite pas ce déplacement à mon avis, n'habitant plus Paname.

We were looking for something nice within walking distance from our hotel (Hotel Muguet). Fitzgerald sounded interesting and had some good reviews, so we tried it. It was so good that we came back a few days later. First, Fitzgerald is both a restaurant (main floor) and a "speakeasy" (lower floor). We only experienced the restaurant, but we popped into the speakeasy for a look and it looked like it would be a lot of fun for drinks (and music later in the evening). Our first night, we showed up a little before 5:45, only to find that they weren't open for dinner until 6. They invited us in anyway, gave us a table and waters, and even started taking our meal orders before opening, which was a nice start. The first night, I tried the "Vitello tonnato". Wow - this was an astoundingly good starter. Very thinly sliced veal, covered with a delicious sauce of tuna and caper mayonnaise. Absolutely recommended. My wife had the thick and creamy soup ("Heirloom tomato gazpacho"), which she loved and had the second visit as well. For the main, I had a very good mushroom risotto. I was looking for something rather light (having had a late lunch), but it turned out that the mushroom risotto was very good but also very, very rich. I felt bad leaving nearly half of it uneaten, as it was delicious - it was just too filling for me at that point. We passed on the desserts - we were both too full from the late lunch to appreciate them this night.

The second visit, I tried the Pollack ceviche. When I started to order, the waiter asked if I had tried the Vitello tonnato. I should have listened and had that again. While the Pollack ceviche was interesting, I personally prefer the Southern California/Mexican ceviches, which are spicier and use more lime. The Pollack ceviche used "leche del tigre with citrus fruit" which was more of a fruit salad than what I consider a traditional ceviche. My wife again went with the soup and was not disappointed. For the main, I went with the Linguine with lobster. This had a great, flavorful pink sauce over the linguine, with large chunks of lobster embedded in the pasta. A great choice and one that I completely finished - using some of the very crusty bread to mop up the remaining sauce. My wife had a dish of a large portion of salmon on a bed of (rice? memory is the second thing that goes, right?). Very good and she enjoyed it. For dessert, I had the "Red Fruit Pavlova" and my wife had the Chocolate Mousse. I wasn't thinking when I ordered the Pavlova, as I am allergic to strawberries and guess what the "red fruit" was. It was liberally decked with strawberries. My wife ate the strawberries, but at least I was able to enjoy the ice cream and the meringue, which were very good. She allowed me a couple of small spoonfuls of her Mousse, which was full and rich.

Service was excellent. Super-friendly both days, helpful, offering good suggestions for wines and individual courses.

Sorry about no photos - being jet-lagged from the 11-hour flight makes everything a little fuzzy the first couple of...

It was awful. We chose this place precisely for my friend’s birthday, we came with a big company and everything was bad.

We chose this place as we have seen that they had so called “golden hours” (happy hours). When we arrived, they told us that they don’t work on Friday and weekends, even though there was no information about it on a website. When I told so to a manager, he asked to wait a second, - then he came back with absolutely different excuse, already forgotten about the first one. He told us that the golden hours are only available in a speakeasy zone, which we indeed saw on their page, but when booking a table, we particularly mentioned it to a hostess and she told us that we’ll have a table in speakeasy. Eventually, we were sitting a restaurant zone and when we told to this manager that it’s not what we asked for, he said that there was nothing he can do now, since the speakeasy was privately booked for an event this night, which was also mentioned no where - we also chose this place for a speakeasy, where we could dance, but we couldn't. When I explained to a manager that this is unacceptable, he was just repeating thar this was not his fault. After long chat he finally proposed free drinks for us for the inconvenience.

After our night started awfully, we tried to forget about it, since it was a birthday party and we wanted to spend good time with friends. However, every time we were ordering something we had to wait for minimum 20-30 minutes (and I am speaking about beverages and entrees, not even mentioning main dishes).

The culmination of our night was the fact that after two hours they aggressively asked us to leave the restaurant, since there was a second service. Of course, it is a common thing in Paris, but in good places you are being told about it in advance, which, of course, was not the case in this place. You thought that was it? They brought us a check with NO FREE DRINKS, that were promised to us :) Eventually, when we started to argue, they indeed removed couple of cocktails, but not the whole first round, as was promised to us.

To sum up: do not recommend....

Title: A Taste of Parisian Elegance: Fitzgerald Restaurant Review

Nestled in the heart of Paris, Fitzgerald offers an exquisite dining experience that effortlessly combines culinary excellence with timeless elegance. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, not only by the delectable cuisine but also by the impeccable service provided by the delightful waitress, Matissa.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and sophistication. The ambiance exuded an air of refinement, with its tasteful decor and soft lighting creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal.

However, what truly set my dining experience apart was the exceptional service delivered by Matissa. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine passion for her work were evident from start to finish. She provided insightful recommendations, ensuring that every aspect of my meal was tailored to my preferences. Her warm demeanor and impeccable timing added an extra layer of charm to the evening, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my visit.

Overall, my experience at Fitzgerald was nothing short of exceptional. From the delectable cuisine to the impeccable service, every aspect exceeded my expectations. Whether you're a local or a visitor to the City of Light, Fitzgerald is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of Parisian elegance. And if you're lucky enough to be served by Matissa, you're in for a truly unforgettable...
