I visited in the evening and ordered a few of the dishes Paris is known for: escargot, duck confit, salmon, and ratatouille. The escargot came with a delicious sauce of olives and pesto, which exceeded my expectations with its rich, aromatic flavors. The duck confit, however, fell short of what I had hoped for and felt a little underwhelming.

The salmon tasted quite standard, similar to what you’d expect from other restaurants — nothing particularly surprising, but enjoyable. The ratatouille, on the other hand, gave me the feeling of a homemade meal — warm, simple, and comforting, as if it had been prepared in a French family kitchen.

We dined outdoors with a view of the Eiffel Tower, which added a romantic and unforgettable touch to the experience. If you want to enjoy classic Parisian dining with iconic views, I definitely recommend Au Canon des Invalides.

Délicieux magret de canard avec purée de pommes de terre, accompagné d’un service très attentionné, tout cela près de la Tour Eiffel à des prix normaux dans une rue latérale. Que demander de plus !

Nous nous sommes sentis très à l’aise dans ce petit restaurant d’angle !

En entrée, nous avons pris une soupe à l’oignon qui avait vraiment un goût français. Ensuite, comme plat suivant, il y avait des tortellinis avec une délicieuse sauce aux épinards. Mais le meilleur était vraiment le canard parfaitement rôti à point, comme on peut vraiment le manger uniquement ici en France.

Comme dessert, nous avons eu un délicieux tiramisu et deux cappuccinos et nous avons été vraiment très bien servis. Et cela même si c’est tout près de la Tour Eiffel et qu’il y a beaucoup de gens qui passent et prennent beaucoup de photos de cette ruelle parce qu’il y a toujours une vue sur la Tour Eiffel. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem kleinen Eckrestaurant!

Wir hatten als Vorspeise eine Zwiebelsuppe die richtig französisch geschmeckt hat. Dazu gab es dann als nächsten Gang die Tortellini mit leckerer Sauce mit Spinat. Aber das beste war wirklich der perfekt medium gebratene Ente, die man wirklich nur so hier in Frankreich essen kann.

Als Nachtisch hatten wir ein leckeres Tiramisu und zwei Cappuccino und sind richtig super super bedient worden. Und das obwohl es ganz in der Nähe vom Eiffelturm ist und ganz ganz viele Leute vorbeikommen und ganz viele Fotos machen von der Gasse hier weil eben immer der Blick auf den Eiffelturm da ist. Schöne Musik geben ein tolles Ambiente und letztlich fühlt man sich hier nicht als Tourist, sondern als einheimischer.

Es gibt sogar verschiedene Menüs und Mittags Menüs bis 15 Uhr und Frühstücksmenüs und die Preise sind gesagt, sind einfach angemessen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und bleibt so...

We stopped here on our first night as it is right next to our hotel. You can see the Eiffel Tower if you are sitting outside which was incredible. We thought the food was great, until we had more food in Paris. My husband and I split the onion soup and it was lacking a lot of flavor, very watery. I had the vegetarian lasagna and it was good- a nice light meal. My husband had the pesto pasta which was also pretty good. We split a crème brulee for dessert which again was just average. The wine was excellent however. I took off a star for service because as we were paying, the waiter asked for a tip, which we know is not customary in France.
