The worst experience in my 6 months living in Paris.
If you’re a tourist and especially Asian, don’t go here. The server was extremely racist and served us differently than all the other customers. I couldn’t believe such a racist establishment exists in this current time.
While all other tables were served water and bread, we didn’t get either of them. When we tried to ask for them they kept ignoring us even though they heard/saw us (I could tell because the other customers looked up at us when we spoke to them) and after calling for them 4 times finally came to our table with a sour face. Afterwards they basically threw the bread basket onto our table.. Furthermore the customer who arrived after us and ordered the exact same menu as us got the food much earlier than us.
As for the food, we asked for our steaks done ‘medium’ and what we got was uncooked raw meat which we could not chew at all.
I have never been treated this poorly in any restaurant and this place completely ruined the whole day for us. Management needs to take serious actions and provide at least the bare minimum of service we paid for. I don’t expect kindness, but I don’t think we deserve to be treated with disrespect and rude,...
Read moreThe place is nice, the staff were really lovely but the food was not at all what we expected.
I ordered the pate. Checked it was a duck one a couple of times. But when ordering was told it's pork. Figured I'd give it a go. What arrived was not patte. It was pressed meat/meat jelly with some gherkins thrown on the plate. My partner ordered sausage/cured meats plate. Got what he expected although the presentation was non existing. Just slices thrown on a plate. The portion was quite large though.
For mains - the steak was without any taste, very low quality meat. The duck was dry. Both came without any sauce or veggies. We tried both the aligot and truffade. Truffade tasted a bit burned but otherwise fine. Just potatoes. The aligot was terrible. So tangy. I expected a cheesy mash but it was more like the inside of mozzarella sticks. We asked for the bill without eating our mains. They did kindly take the mains off our bill which was appreciated and politely asked for our feedback. Might be a lovely spot for a quick lunch if you know what you're in for. But for our last night in Paris, it was not the french culinary...
Read moreVery bad service. The host was very rude overall. It took forever to get menus and order the food. I was thinking that it was because they were maybe short staffed. Two out of the three ribeye steaks that we ordered were fatty and very raw and one steak was cold. The only thing that was good was the Aligot, but my husband didn’t like that either. It took forever to wave down the waiter to get our check and when he didn’t appear for 15 minutes, I went to the front bar area to ask for the check and the waiter said that you have to talk to the host to get the check. I asked the host for the check and he waved me off and I went back and sat down. Another 10 minutes of waiting and I had enough, I waved down the waiter again and he spoke with the host and then another 5 minutes later the check finally came . He asked why we didn’t eat our steaks and I told him it was too raw and he was dismissive and finally we were able to pay and leave. I came to this place because it was highly recommended on Instagram, but I am thinking that they may have been paid for their reviews. Disappointing to say the...
