The imperial ambiance of the site and the gorgeous view of Schönbrunn Palace are unique. The light-flooded, airy interior design perfectly connects yesterday’s world with today’s urban way of life in a harmonious way.

Large lounge corners and pedestals along the outside walls are set like flat islands while the weaved loom chairs let the interior room flow freely. The notion of an imperial summer and garden house dominates the choice of materials: noble on the inside, an imperial red for historic tradition and bright maple wood for the tables and benches; the outdoor areas are modelled after Italian pavement cafés. Beautiful, lovely, exquisite, gracious... There are so many great things I can say about Gloriette. I had been in France for several days and had not had a meal that lived up to my expectations for French cuisine until I visited Gloriette. The decor was the first thing to strike me as it was so classic and gave a very comfortable feeling. I recently visited, and it was a truly disappointing experience. The staff was extremely rude and uninterested, making the entire visit unpleasant. The food was just as bad-stale and clearly not fresh. Even the simplest thing, like a croissant, was dry and tasteless, which says a lot about the overall quality.
