Il Seguito — Restaurant in Paris

Coming back from a long day in the city, we were desperate to find somewhere to eat. We had asked if we could have some dinner and were seated. The atmosphere was tense, the two waitresses were arguing quiet loudly in french. I heard one speak italian and as i’m italian i thought perfect! The other waitress came along and I asked if it’s possible to speak to the italian waitress with great attitude she shouted across to her saying in french “i can’t be bothered you go”.

Once the lady comes, I was rushed when trying to make conversation, to order we had specifically asked for: 1- Completa and Amaretto sour, 1 : Veal / Margarita, 1: Risotto and Long island ice tea. What arrived? 3 pizza completely different to our order.

The complete chaos of arguing between staff and myself trying to explain what i ordered with being ignored. To then basically being forced to eat the pizza and offered to give us the risotto, we wish we didn’t accept as the risotto tasted like a can of mushroom soup with heaps of artificial truffle oil. It was not eaten. My family member was forced to eat a pizza as the waitresses started shouting in french “NONONO i’m not changing it eat it eat it” By also involving other customers in the conversation to make us feel even more uncomfortable. The attitude continued throughout the evening and basically forced us to leave while having our cocktail without bothering to ask if we wanted dessert, which trust me was needed as we were starving! The pizza we did eat was less than ok, they definitely use a electric oven for pizza as the crust was hard and the middle wasn’t completely cooked.

Absolutely no manners. No customer service. No basic culture of Italian food.

I can honestly say we ended up paying 90€ for nothing. As we shared...

On our last day in Paris, we wandered around and stumbled upon this absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the service was incredible—everyone was genuinely kind, helpful, and spoke English very well. We felt truly welcomed.

To start, we were offered a small bowl of olives at the table—and I’m not exaggerating when I say these were the best olives I’ve ever had. Our server (possibly the owner) noticed how much we loved them and brought out two more bowls without us even asking—me, my husband, and son were basically fighting over them!

We ordered drinks next: two apple mojitos, an apple sour, and a beer. The drinks came out quickly, were well made, and absolutely delicious—our daughter liked the mojitos so much, she had three. 🍸

For our meal, we had two pizzas 🍕 (salmon & mushroom), a pasta dish, and a salmon salad. 🥗 Everything was fresh and flavorful. The pizzas were large—definitely enough for two people to share—and the salad was very unique, loaded with fresh salmon, lettuce, eggplant, peppers, pineapple, apples, and olives!

What stood out beyond the food was the relaxed atmosphere. The service was very warm and attentive without making us feel rushed. As a sweet bonus, they even packed me a small bag of olives 🫒 to take home—such a thoughtful touch. Also the prices are very reasonable.

We only wish we had discovered IL Seguito earlier in our trip—we’d definitely have come back. A truly fantastic place that made our last evening in Paris memorable....

I recently dined at Il Seguito, and I was absolutely blown away by the outstanding service provided by Mo Mo. From the moment we were seated, their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made our experience unforgettable.

Mo Mo was incredibly attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive—they offered fantastic recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. What truly stood out was their friendly and engaging demeanor, which made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers.

Beyond the excellent service, Mo Mo went the extra mile to make my mother in laws birthday special, whether it was remembering small preferences or adding a personal touch to the service. It’s rare to encounter such professionalism paired with such warmth and charm.

Because of Mo Mo, we’ll definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to everyone we know. Thank you for an incredible evening—your team is lucky to have such a dedicated and talented individual!
