Isshin Ramen — Restaurant in Paris

The place is incredibly decorated! It looks absolutely amazing!!! The staff was polite and the service was not too long. However, my vegetarian ramen wasn't all that great. My friend's special iSSHIN ramen was really good though. She goes to this restaurant often.

Usually if something is not vegetarian, you can just ask them to remove the meat and still have the rest of the dish. I asked that here and literally, all they had to do was give me the dish without adding the meat to it. They refused. So I was forced to order the vegetarian ramen, which really wasn't tasty at all. It was bland and the tofu and chickpeas that they added as protein (apart from being tasteless again) didn't go well with the ramen bowl.

Edit after the response from the restaurant: My vegetarian broth was not as flavourful as my friend's order. From my past experience, the best vegetarian ramens I've had were flavoured with a lot of ingredients to make up for the lack of meat: miso paste, peanut paste, fresh cream, mushroom broth, tamarind, etc.

I completely understand that it's a balance of offering good food and also maintaining your costs. It's hard to make a good vegetarian option when the original dish is not vegetarian at all. By far my favorite japanese restaurant. Extremely good food, especially the chashu don ❤️ Real yuzu juice cocktail 🤩🤤 Ramens are really nicely made, much more filled than I found in other restaurants I went to. But if you don't like them, they still have few other stuff (like... the chashu don). They've got vegetarian food too.

The atmosphere is really japanese style, with many different rooms and 3 floors, all with their own style, very well decorated. If you're lucky you could even end up in a small, cosy and quiet room like the one in the pics attached. The main room is nice too, but busier and louder.

All the staff wish you welcome in Japanese at the entrance 🥰 And the payment is done under Totoro's umbrella...

I had an amazing experience at this ramen restaurant! 🍜 The soup is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
