Our visit to Jungle Palace was an incredible experience! From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported into a lush, immersive jungle setting. The decor, atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent, making for a truly memorable dining experience.
The themed decor was stunning, with jungle-inspired details everywhere. What really stood out was the projector displaying moving images, creating the illusion of actually being in a rainforest. The transition from bright and sunny to an intense Amazon thunderstorm was unexpected and added an exciting, immersive touch.
The menu had a great selection, including some fantastic jungle-themed cocktails that were both delicious and creative. The prices were reasonable for the quality and experience provided. Our food arrived slightly colder than we would have liked, and while the steak was on the smaller side, it was still incredibly flavorful and well-prepared.
One downside was the close proximity of the tables—we could hear other couples’ conversations quite clearly, which made it feel a little less private. A bit more spacing between tables would improve the overall dining experience.
The shared gender toilet upstairs was another standout feature, with mesmerizing decor that felt truly out of this world. It was a unique touch that added to the restaurant’s charm.
I would highly recommend booking in advance, as we saw people being turned away at the door. Jungle Palace is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for a unique, immersive dining experience with fantastic food...
Read moreDon't go if you are a tourist!!! It's a scam! We were charged 50 euros more than what we had to pay. If you take a cocktail they put a deposit of 50 euros without telling you anything and when you finish your drinks they should take away the deposit from your bill. We didn't know of the deposit, since no one told us and it was not written anywhere, since you can pay for your table anytime you want though QR code, we payed before finishing our meal and cocktails, since we didn't like a single thing. We didnt check the bill, we just payed for everything, unfortunately we didnt notice the deposit. When we were going away, the manager asked us what we didn't like and we explained to him that we didn't like the food. Not a single one of them made us notice that we paid 50 extra euros. Not The manager nor the waiter, and I can assure you they knew it! Not a single French person had the deposit, and I know it, because they were all French and I had people beside me, I could read their bill through the smartphone. It's also really weird that not a single waiter told the customers that took a cocktail that you would be charged extra for the deposit. How do I know of the deposit since no one told me? Because the next day I went to "stellar" same group of restaurant and they did the exact same thing, but the deposit, this time was 80 euros, when I told the waiter he explained to me that it was a deposit, again not a single french person was charged of this deposit. Tourist are not welcome here. That's for sure. You won't see...
Read moreThe interior design, projection mapping, and theming was extremely novel and interesting. This in the adult equivalent of the “Rainforest Cafe”. This sounds strange to write but the bathroom was a real highlight with excellent theming.
Unfortunately, similar to other themed restaurants, the food and service didn’t match the build out and vibe. There were extremely easy fixes to each dish that fell short - reflecting an immature chef.
The bread came out in a basket and was served cold with no butter, oil, or dip. An easy fix would be to provide a red pepper dip, some hummus, or a flavored oil - sticking to the theme.
The gorgonzola pasta dish had an extremely thin sauce that needed to be thickened. The dish also needed more gorgonzola in the dish itself. The walnuts included were raw and should have been toasted. Really rookie mistakes from the kitchen.
The butternut squash which was advertised as BBQ had no grill marks, smoked flavor, rub, or BBQ sauce. It was a fine side dish but was an incomplete dish.
The mocktails were overly sweet and also overly citrus. I think they attempted to “balance” the sweetness (way too sweet) by going heavy with lemon. A bizarre set of choices and both drinks absolutely missed.
It took 20 minutes just for our server to greet us. Once we were greeted the food and drinks did come out quickly.
Whilst the decor and vibe was memorable - unfortunately the food was as well - but for the wrong reasons. Their menu needs an...
