L'Artisan du Burger — Restaurant in Paris

Wonderful burgers, we were a group of 3 and each ordered a different burger. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were very friendly. My only complaint or constructive criticism for management if they ever read reviews - they were understaffed when we arrived, the place was busy with diners and also with filling take away orders so it took longer than it should have to take our orders. The servers did a great job considering, it would have been better to have one more person. It is table service, so we order through the waiters and then pay at the counter - this is fine, but we found once we put in our initial order, we couldn't get anyone's attention to order another round of drinks or dessert. We ended up just paying and leaving. If you are offering table service, you should really train your staff to check on diners so if anything you don't miss out on selling more food or drinks. Excellent gourmet burgers by award winning chefs.

What really surprised me was how they gave me the option for how I want the beef cooked, a true first for a fast food burger place.

I had the medium cooked Montartre burger, in the squid stained bread "bun noir" (the lady said the bread added texture to it, it costed another Euro). The burger was JUICY all the way through! Yum! Not a dry plain bit! They even cut it in half so we can eat it comfortably.

The chips were average (but it seems the chips here in France are all soft and not crispy like in Australia) but the smoked Mayo sauce was spectacular, it really made up for the chips.

On s'est fait virer dehors. (et les buns sont très secs) Très poliment, hein, mais c'est un scandale quand même.

On est arrivé 5 min avant la fermeture, en fait. (22h et quelques un jeudi soir) Donc ils auraient pu nous dire : 1 - soit qu'ils fermaient quasiment, et ne pouvaient plus nous servir (ce qui est "techniquement" illégal mais socialement acceptable) 2 - soit qu'ils ne faisaient plus qu'à emporter (ce qui arrangeait tout le monde) 3 - soit ils nous prenaient en salle, mais nous laissaient finir de manger. (ce que normalement les restaurants ont l'obligation de faire, s'ils vous ont servi en salle. Et ce même si vous mettez 4h à manger)

Au lieu de ça, ils nous ont prévenu qu'ils allaient commencer à fermer, mais qu'on pouvait manger en salle, pour ensuite 10min après nous dire de partir parce qu'ils fermaient. (texto, debout à côté de nous : "faut partir maintenant, on ferme, là") Alors certes : ils étaient très polis (je tiens à le préciser !!), nous aussi (on est pas des monstres, on a fait aucune histoire) et on avait mangé très vite de toute façon et quasi fini. Cela dit, dans les faits, j'ai du m'expédier un demi burger dans la bouche parce que la serveuse me regardait en foutant des coups de torchons savonneux à 10 cm de mon assiette et en virant les chaises autour de moi. Poliment, mais merci non merci.

Pour le reste : service assez rapide (y'a mieux, y'a pire) frites très bonnes (ça, sans conteste ! Pour moi en tout cas) burger pas mal (y'a mieux pour ce prix, voire moins cher) mais bun plutôt secs et pâteux (un ami à moi a même évoqué "rassis", mais c'est un peu fort, comme terme je trouve). Il parait que les buns noirs sont ultra bons, par contre. (à tester)

C'est pas mal. Mais y'a tellement d'autres burgers potentiellement un peu meilleur dans le secteur pour le même prix ou moins cher, c'est pas facile de recommandé celui là. Et puis bon, n'arrivez pas à la...
