Not what I was expecting. Apparently they share the name with another restaurant that is located at the 4 seasons which is a much higher end restaurant.
Unfortunately it was just one mistake after another during our visit.
Menus seem like they were photo copies printed on plain white paper and super old with food stains on them.
I think someone must have missed work because the service was extremely slow. Took about 20 minutes to get the soup, then about 40 minutes after that to get the food, which was slightly above room temperature.
Ordered a whiskey and coke and I received two cups, one with a tiny bit of whiskey, one with ice and an entire coke bottle. I had to make my own drink and I was charged 11€ for the whiskey and 5€ for the coke.
Waitress never checked in on us or apologized for the slow service.
No dress code - people next to us were wearing hoodies, shorts and flip flops.
Was extremely disappointed. I would never return...
Read moreBonjour. Our experience at L'ORANGERIE was absolutely wonderful. The food was fresh and prepared to perfection, prices were reasonable, and portions were surprisingly generous. I ordered the duck, and found it simply divine. Being particularly hungry, I was concerned about the small portions one expects from a traditional French meal. No worries at L'ORANGERIE, as all portions served were plentiful and delicious. Every item was prepared to perfection, artistically presented, and professionally served with absolute pride, as it should be. Satisfied in every way, I could have easily passed on dessert, thankfully I did not make such an error. The Creme Brule was a larger than average slice of heaven, and also the perfect choice to top off a very special dinner and evening. I assure you, we will be returning as often as possible to L'ORANGERIE, and I can whole heartedly recommend that you make a special visit for dinner as...
Read moreI went to this restaurant many years ago when it was still owned and managed by the last owner. I wanted to come back as it was so fabulous then, I read the reviews which were good so decided to book. I just had to write my own review. The entire experience was SO disappointing. To me it is a tourist trap . My mother found 2 small pieces of bone in her mouth, almost broke a tooth, which was surprising as she had ordered a steak!!! We mentioned it to the waitress and she was hardly surprised and never apologised!!! Not a very sophisticated place, wine list restricted, laminated menu which to me says it all. Just an upgrade from a...
