I was not a huge fan of this place. I liked that it was cheap and pretty centrally located. |The negatives: There are 3 hostels and if you book one, they assign you one of the three and don’t let you know which one until you’re there. I was tired and it was a very short walk, but still frustrating. |The shower and bathroom situation was upsetting. You can buy a towel for 6€ but they don’t even provide hand soap at the sinks. You have to bring EVERYTHING. On top of that, we had NO HOT WATER :( The shower is one you have to keep pressing to turn on every 30 seconds or so, and even in July, an only-cold shower was miserable. |There was nowhere to change clothes or dry off privately. You left the shower and were immediately naked by the front door. I was extra glad for a girls-only when I realized that! |We only had 2 toilets for the floor (maybe 30 beds?) which was alright, but they’re outside of the room, so if you have to use it in the middle of the night, you have to leave your room and bring your key to get back inside and the door slams loudly. Then the sink is back in your shared room. Just a strange setup. |I stayed on the 5th floor. The stone stairs were very old and dangerous and there was not a lift. Fine if you’re in great shape, but with a knee injury, that was a LOT of extra walking. |Breakfast was fine - yogurt and coffee. |I didn’t get a fun “hostel vibe,” where other folks milled around and met. The courtyard was mostly people on FaceTime alone. The bed rooms were confusing to figure out which bed was yours. My blanket was stained and pretty dirty, and I watched a girl come in and sleep on a bed someone else used the night before without the linens being changed. |I’d hoped for a little more interaction and friendliness, but all in all, it’s a cheap place in Paris that felt...

Read moreTHE WORST HOSTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. The first night I was in a dorm room completely alone. Was such a weird vibe. It is SO LOUD whenever someone walked up and down the stairs in the hostel it sounds like BANG BANG BANG, and the walls are so thin you can hear everyone talking (mainly a bunch of kids). It was impossible to sleep or relax because of this and ended up giving me a headache.
There was absolutely no privacy in the dorm room. The beds were really small and uncomfortable. They were all crammed together into one corner. It was so weirdly layed out to the point where your head and ur neighbours feet were 15cm apart, it was too much. And no curtains of course.
No wi-fi or service in bedroom, really disappointing.
The shower was really cramped, and the curtain was gross. It was disgusting and claustrophobic.
Plug sockets next to bed do not work so could not change my phone or anything I needed to charge. That’s really bad.
You can not check in until 3pm on the dot, even if you arrive 10 mins before. Felt really petty. The lady who was on reception when I arrived was really rude. The other guys were okay but honestly gave off weird annoying energy.
They charged me an extra €3 fee to check into the hostel as a compulsory membership fee… what the fuck…
Not social at all, not a single person spoke to me. It is definitely not a backpackers hostel of appropriate for solo travellers.
The ‘free breakfast’ is just some dry cake and cereal. Was disappointed.
You have to be out of your room everyday between 12-3 so they can clean, meaning u can’t access the room you paid for.
Would definitely not recommend staying here. I have travelled for years and never come across such...
