The food is not their forte, the coffee is not bad, the people aren't either but everyone is so slow it really becomes an issue.
Avoid especially if you are on your way to work or on a lunch break. Would rather recommend Noir further down the street or any of the coffee shops* before St George 2 minutes up the street on the other side of the road.
The place is nice looking and the location is good + they are computer friendly which is nice.

As for your response La compagnie du Café ;
You're hardly the only specialty coffee in Paris, nor from your neighborhood**, your coffee is good enough but would not say the great care you put into it translates into such a great cup or a viable user experience during rush hours
which should ideally be the ones your team master as per definition they serve the greater part of your customer base - maybe have a barista that stays behind the coffeemaker as every other shop I've seen ?
It is mostly an issue on weekdays to be fair, I have experienced brunch with friends which is not slow. Although brunch is a more laid back experience, maybe that's your forte.

As for your updated message La Compagnie du café :
Love the update, less salty but still very vapid. I still have your original message if you want it back -do note that I edit my comment and do not rewrite history-.
My comment is consistent with my personal experience, I have not once waited an appropriate time for coffee on my morning way to work at your place be it to go or at a table. Haven't been a client for 7 years myself more like 3 years, maybe something went downhill?
As for the other coffee shop listed below they are -as you are fully aware- part of the reply to your comment where you implied that I was unfairly comparing your shop to coffee chains and hiding behind so called great skills and care to justify the waiting -wich somehow doesn't exist in your revised comment-.
Some of them aren't event specialty coffee place yet all their cups beat yours easily and never have I waited an ungodly amount of time at any of those, even on rush hours.
Strive to do better, you can do it and I'll gladly revise my comment and rating once I have a good experience at your shop.

Read moreI had high hopes for this café, charmed by its quaint interior and enticed by the promise of delicious food and excellent coffee. However, my experience was marred by the extremely poor service my wife and I received. We arrived at 12 pm and were overlooked for 30 minutes before a server acknowledged us. Strangely, other customers received prompt attention and had their orders taken almost immediately upon arriving. After an additional long wait, we received our food but experienced more delay for our coffees, with the excuse being a single barista on duty—though other customers seemed to receive their coffees swiftly.
To further our disappointment, an item we ordered was missing, and this was not acknowledged or apologized for; instead, it was included in our bill, and we were nonchalantly asked if we wanted it to go when we pointed out the mistake.
Despite its potential and charm, the lack of organization and regard for customer service was alarming, and regrettably, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreHorrible experience, came here expecting breakfast and waited more than 40 minutes for a coffee that never arrived. They could have at least served us the pain au chocolat we ordered or offered us another drink alternative (tea, orange juice, whatever!), but that didn't happen. No explanation or apologies were given at any point. After 40 minutes, the barista said the coffee would be ready in 7min (so almost an hour in total for a coffee), I heard him say 10m to the people that had just arrived, which seemed rather impossible since at leat 15-20 people (when we arrived we were only about 8 in the whole café) had also been waiting for their coffee for a long time. At that point we had to leave because we were so thirsty and hungry. I understand that any business encounters hiccups, but at least have the basic human courtesy of explaining that to people and offer solutions. Also if you cannot serve coffee, please don't use ''café'' in the name of...
