Brasserie À la place Saint Georges - Paris 09 — Restaurant in Paris

We stayed at a nearby hotel and loved this gem around the corner! We went several times for breakfast and lunch during our stay, and our only regret is not getting to try more of the menu. The coffee, food, and drinks were consistently good, but more importantly was the excellent service we received by our server Esteban every time. He was very nice and attentive, and even gave us some recommendations of things to see around the area that we appreciated. They served the food quickly, and the atmosphere was one of our favorites as you can see the the beauty of all the buildings around it, as well as the hustle and bustle of the traffic circle in front of you, while still enjoying a nice breeze under an umbrella. Definitely will be going back on our next visit to Paris and recommending it to anyone that...

Maybe it was the time of day, maybe it was the period -easter-, maybe it is just France in general... but if you pretend to serve breakfast and are open for business it is hard to believe you are not prepared to serve two couples as guests with a little more than a cup of coffee, some jus a tiny baguette and a late arrived croissant at 10:30 in de morning. Last two both cold and not especially fresh. And although I do like a clean place when having breakfast, I am not that kind of happy with the mixed smell of cleaning agents. A lot of personnel running around, but only one guy caring for the customers (once awhile). The rest totally ignoring who ever is visiting the place. Would I recommend this place for your typically petit déjeuner parisien??? Nope, I would recommend to look...

Just back from dinner, our first at this brassiere, and it was excellent. 7:30pm, very busy Wednesday evening as it seems many were there before going to the theatre across the street. We didn’t have a reservation but were offered to wait on the terrace, the bar area was also full. We ordered hot drinks and waited no more than ten minutes for a table for two. The staff were very friendly and humorous, despite being VERY busy. The food was very good, my wife said her croc monsieur was among the best she’s had.
