Sizin — Restaurant in Paris

We were there on New Years Eve 2018 and were so disappointed! We had high hopes, as we were on holiday in Paris and my boyfriend is turkish, so we wanted to celebrate the evening with some nice food we usually like. When we arrived the waitresses and waiters seemed friendly - however the woman gave us the most uncomfortable table in the restaurant, it seemed like some sort of side table, there was no decoration, it just looked so effortless and poor. A different waiter luckily offered us another table - even he must have noticed that it is not a good idea to let customers sit on that weird, small table. We were also under time pressure, because we had to make the table free for other guests that would arrive at 10pm. So we hoped that at least the food would be so good so we could forget about the unpleasant circumstances. Well...it wasn't BAD but we're just used to something better. It didn't taste like it was made with love and it didn't have anything special. Just plant meat, dips etc. Basically we were quite disappointed and wouldn't recommed - there are other places to get nicer turkish food! We decided to chance this place on our last night in Paris and it didn't disappoint.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful man not sure if he was the owner or not. He made sure we knew what was what given our French is poor even bringing an old out of date English menu to help. Then spent time guiding us to the right choices.

The restaurant is simply and nicely decorated.

The food came out quickly and was delicious. The flat bread was also delicious.

The choices we were assisted with were all really really nice.

We opted to skip dessert as neither of us are crazy about that style of dessert but the staff member who had helped us so much brought us a simple but tasty plate of fruit anyway.

We visited Sizin last month. The food, staff and customer service was excellent. You can tell these guys love their jobs and know their food. We arrived very late at night and the waiter recommend some fantastic food. We asked for the nearest supermarket. The staff said the shop had already closed but asked what we required. We just wanted to buy bottled water for the next day of traveling. When we were leaving the guys went into the drinks fridge and gave us 2 large bottles of water for free.
