My family and I had such a lovely experience at PONI. From the moment we arrived, Nicolas greeted us warmly and even found us a table despite the restaurant being busy and us not having a reservation. It was such a thoughtful start to what turned out to be a wonderful evening.
During our meal, we had a small question about the menu, and our waiter kindly explained everything to us in English. When he wasn’t certain about the specifics of a dressing we were curious about, we thought that might be the end of the explanation. Instead, he took it a step further and brought Nicolas back to help. Nicolas not only explained the options but went the extra mile by bringing out samples of the dressings for us to try. It was a simple yet incredibly thoughtful gesture that made us feel so well cared for.
The location is just perfect, right in the heart of the 9th arrondissement near the charming Rue des Martyrs. The steak risotto was absolutely delicious, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for another meal—next time...
Read moreBooked an early dinner online for our last night of short break in Paris, based on previous reviews. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't good. After sightseeing, rushed to get changed & get to restaurant. Needn't have bothered. No-one else in rear of restaurant, which was somewhat dark, with tatty paint-peeling(?) walls. English menu provided via QR code, which didn't seem to match French equivalent ?? No matter, ordered drinks&mains. After first bite of omelette, rest was cold and not nice (except salad). Chicken meal was cold and not nice. Managed to eat half our meals, paid quickly about Euros 50, and left quickly. We were so sad when we left, as it was so disappointing for our last night. Were hungry so went to "Le Petit Cadet" restaurant, explained our situation and they found us a table for desserts. Fabulously delicious. Happy servers. Ended up having desserts and starters at Le Petit Cadet for about Eurso 56 and a really enjoyable...
Read morePoni is one of those places that immediately grabs your attention—starting with the stunning coffee machine at the entrance. We were a large group and had the chance to try many items on the menu. What stood out for me was how thoughtfully the meat dishes were designed. As someone who struggles to eat balanced meals, I was genuinely impressed by how they combined nutrients and flavor so effortlessly in a single plate.
The lasagna, however, was a bit underwhelming—both people who ordered it felt it could’ve been juicier. Still, the overall food quality and taste were high, and the wine selection was solid.
The place is clearly popular—crowded and buzzing—but the atmosphere is vibrant, not chaotic. Despite the full house, the staff remained friendly and got everything out on time.
A great spot for good food, good energy, and a well-rounded experience. Definitely...
