Did you ever dream about renting an entire hotel just for yourself and have all of their staff attend your every whim? Unless you’re ultra rich, this beautiful small hotel is as close as it gets! I came here with my husband and in laws to celabrate their 50th reddening anniversary. From the moment we stepped in, the entire staff, especially Soumia who has such a talent and dedication to customer service and should be running a hotel herself, went above and beyond time and time again to make our stay beyond amazing. There are too many good things that happened since we arrived less than 48 hours ago and led me to not even wait until we check out to write this review to list here as the team and Soumia never seize to amaze us but I’ll give the most notable instance. When we arrived, we told Soumia that we are here to celebrate my in-laws anniversary which was the next day and asked if she can, by any chance, leave a small note for them in the room to make them feel special. Soumia insisted we should do it on the next day as it’s their actual date.We were nervous that the staff will forget and tried to insist they’ll do it same day but Soumia insisted we trust her and that she’ll leave a nice note for them. This evening, when we returned, I went to ask if they had by any chance a tablecloth as we wanted to surprise them with a few things to celebrate in the room. Soumia called the kitchen staff and had them look everywhere, then left the front desk and went down to the kitchen with me to show me everything they could find so I can decide which one I liked the most! She then went up to my in-laws room to show me what she had prepared. She left them a bubble of Prosecco and macaroons! I was speechless. I was hoping they will leave a note or a flower. I didn’t expect anything even remotely close to that. Ps the hotel itself is pretty cool. They have bunch of soft drinks, cookies, espresso machine, and snacks at the lobby 24/7 for free and you can go to any of their 17 hotels in the area to use their bathrooms, drink coffee or eat snacks for free which is a super nice perk to have while you discover Paris. Thank you Soumia and the rest of the staff for making our short vacation in Paris unforgettable. We could have never asked for more.
And.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOUMIA!!! She told us her birthday was on November 25th, the same date as my in-laws anniversary. So if you are reading this long review and debating which hotel to stay at in Paris, stay here! And If you are staying here around November 25th, don’t forget to wish Soumia a...
Read moreI stayed at Hotel Lorette in December 2022 and again in December 2024 for a birthday trip.
Having previously left a 5 star review, I’ve unfortunately had to reduce my rating. The hotel has gone significantly downhill in terms of cleanliness in the last 2 years, with mouldy, stained bathrooms that are clearly not being cleaned regularly. Hotel staff initially claimed this was due to the hotel being old but changed their minds after seeing pictures.
Staff at the hotel are kind, but slow to act and suggested solutions that many would find offensive. One staff member provided me with cleaning products to clean the bathroom myself (which is silly if you’re paying for the experience of a hotel), then suggested I place a bath towel in the shower to step on instead of the stained tub. My sister fell in the bath multiple times doing this, which could’ve been very dangerous. The bath towel railing was also broken, and after the cleaner “cleaned” after us on the first night, we found a lot of the mess remained, like toothpaste marks near the sink, and new black marks in the shower, which raised questions about cleanliness in other parts of the room.
Eventually, after I put my birthday plans on hold to speak to the manager in person (having tried to contact them multiple times), hotel staff offered a room change to the ground floor (for sensitive sleepers, this can be noisy due to the nearby metro), with a less dirty, accessible bathroom. This still had its problems, with bad shower pressure, temperamental temperature and dirty black grout that was supposed to be white. The hotel eventually agreed to a partial refund after initially trying to fob me off with a free breakfast.
Overall - the rooms are generally nice, the location of the hotel is good, but the hotel has a serious issue with cleanliness. Staff, while eventually helpful, can also be slow to act and require you to do a lot of the work yourself to get any remedial action, which can mean wasted holiday time. Unfortunately I would not stay in this hotel again or recommend...
Read moreI loved staying at Hôtel Lorette! I stayed for 33 wonderful days and everyone was nice and helpful! The receptionist Xavier Fernandes was great! He gave me good advice on handling taxi drivers in Paris and he was extremely helpful, very patient and polite. Our flight back home was in the evening but because you need to check out at 11:00 we had to leave the room at this time. My mom and I had too many bags and Xavier was wonderful tagging all of them and keeping them for us at the reception. The hotel is nice, clean and the beds are comfortable! The rooms are small though and some bathrooms have a curtain in the shower instead of a glass door which makes it almost impossible to prevent the water from going to the floor. The rooms have a mini fridge that is stocked daily with free water and orange juice. In the common waiting area, the hotel provides free drinks, coffee, tea, cookies and a fresh baked cake for the guests. The location is great! You are 15 minutes away from Galeries Lafayette, 10 if you walk fast. You can walk to most places: Le Musée du Louvre (25 minutes); Montmartre (15 minutes); Cathédrale de Notre Dame (30 minutes); and if you are like me and love walking, you can walk to the Arc de Triomphe or even to Saint Germain des Prés. I’ve been to Paris several times and this time I had the best location! Besides being able to walk almost everywhere, the area is non touristy and you feel more integrated in the neighborhood. Close to Rue Notre Dame de Lorette, you have Rue des Martyrs where you can find everything you need: pharmacies, food markets, bakeries, specialized boutiques for cheese, meat, fish, fruits, hair and nail salons, etc. There are a lot of different cafés and restaurants in the area and it is very safe even at night. The metro station is across the street and I never had any trouble with noise. I had a wonderful stay at Hôtel Lorette! I’d stay there again and I recommend it to everyone. Merci...
