La Glacerie Paris — Restaurant in Paris

If you are not white person and hate to be treated differently, then avoid this racist store! 如果你不是白人又不想因肤色遭遇臭脸，那就离这家店远远的！ Les glaces sont bonnes mais le serveur était ridicule & racist. L’expérience m’a choquée et dégoûtée🤮

Ice-cream seems good but the beard guy who worked there was out of this world. He was super nice when serving white customers with big smile, but when he saw me Asian face, wow, smile disappeared in one second followed with an obvious attempt to ignore me, not to mention the minimum standard ‘Bonjour’ to welcome a waiting customer. I wanted to see how far he could go so I instead initiated with ‘Bonjour’ and this guy then very reluctantly came over, still no Bonjour, no smile or anything. He then asked with a long cold face asking ‘que désirez-vous?’ Okay at least he used ´vous’ when serving me. I ordered, paid, and then threw the ice-cream in trash bin on his face. Possibly the weirdest ice cream I have ever tasted. This "mango vanilla" flavour tasted neither like mango nor vanilla. But you can see vanilla bean seeds in the ice cream lol. It's not sweet, but not in a good way. It also has a weird aftertaste. This single scoop costs almost 4 euro but it's nothing like premium ice cream. From now on, I will stick to italian gelato. The french are good at many things, but sadly not ice cream. All the ice cream I have tried in Paris is inferior to any gelato I have tasted in Italy. Another negative: they don't let you try two flavors in a single scoop. In many other places, the smallest size often lets you...

The reviews had hyped this place up and it was good, but not amazing. Maybe my expectations were too high. The ice cream all had a lovely texture, but flavours were not as strong as I was expecting, with the exception of the passionfruit which was the stand out winner. I did like that the green tea wasn't too sweet. The shop is really nice though, and smack in the centre of Paris. Their cakes look out-of-this-world gorgeous.
