La Madonnina — Restaurant in Paris

Delightful, authentic Italian food. We would love to see more vegetarian options simply because the ones we tried (pasta arrabiata, ala norma) were made of such great ingredients and fresh pasta. Save some space for dessert because the tiramisu hits the spot! They also have great cocktails and I can vouch for the Negroni.

That’s about the food, now for the service. The waiters are very friendly. It was my husband’s birthday that night and I had requested the waiter to add a candle to the dessert as a little surprise- unfortunately, he forgot and he apologized when I brought it up. Mistakes happen, we are humans.

But they won our heart and respect when the owner insisted we accept a bottle of Prosecco as an apology. This gesture shows how much they care about their customers and that’s all that...

I dont think I've ever eaten ingredients as fresh as this place served. The food was really, really good. It kinda of made me self conscious as a North American to eat my food quicker than the average Parisian, to show my appreciation for good food...whereas they indulge and chat a lot. We attempted to do the same since we were in good company, but I'm sure the average People Watcher would've noted we stuck out like sore thumbs. So if you're thinking of coming here... relax, and indulge... I bet you...

J’avais réservé à 14h15 une table qui m’avait été confirmée par mail. Je suis arrivée à l’heure mais la patronne n’avait pas connaissance de ma venue et m’a informé assez sèchement qu’ils avaient déjà fermé les cuisines (pourtant sur leur site l’ horaire de fermeture indiqué était 14h30 et ils proposent un créneau de réservation 14h15 sur leur site). Par ailleurs, je me suis sentie assez mal accueillie en dépit des circonstances. Tout d’abord je me suis sentie agressée lorsqu’elle m’a demandé si c’etait « encore Deliveroo » (ce n’était pas le cas j’ai réservé via le site internet du restaurant). Il est vrai que la dame s’est excusée (sans avoir l’air très convaincue) mais au départ m’a soutenu de façon peu agréable que ce n’était pas possible que j’ai réservé (pour après finalement me dire que l’erreur est humaine et qu’elle ne maîtrise pas les bug informatique). Elle était agacée car elle n’avait fait que deux couverts et que Deliveroo l’avait ennuyé et j’ai pris son énervement dans la figure alors que je n’y étais pas pour grand chose. C’est dommage et injuste car ça ne m’a pas donné envie de revenir tester malgré les bons avis sur la cuisine (que je n’ai pas pu goûter). J’ai fini au petit Cambodge juste à côté, qui était plein, et où j’ai été bien...
