The worst Habesha food experience I ever had! They microwave the dishes before they serve them (even the BAKLAVA). You can also hear the microwave pinging which makes it even worse. We had some vegan and two meat options, the meat was very chewy, very salty and dry due to the lack of a saucy base. The vegan sauces were ok but not even enough for one person - (about two tb spoon of each sauce which is unusual). The worst part of the experience was the dessert- Baklava it was very watery fresh from the microwave and we really couldn't eat it so I sent it back- the waitress wasn't friendly at all argued and said- that's their way of doing Baklava. I also heard the waitress asking the lady in the kitchen if she should erase the baklava from the bill, but she said NO. At least the coffee (buna) was good. So sad that we had a...

We tried several of the top-rated Ethiopian restaurants in Paris before finding La Reine de Saba, and it was the best by far. While other restaurants delivered bland food, this restaurant brought the spice (especially the second time we visited and asked for it extra spicy. Almost every element of the combo plate was top notch. The meat particularly shone, both what we got on the combo plate and the extra beef dish that we ordered. The injera was definitely on the lighter side (not a lot of teff), but had a great flavor and texture.

I would suggest asking to sit in the basement if you are there during the hotter months. The kitchen made the ground floor quite warm, but the basement was nice and cool.

Overall, great place for meat eaters and...

We had a fantastic lunch here today. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone new to Ethiopian food, but also would say that it is a traditional Ethiopian experience for those used to eating this cuisine. We ordered a sharing platter for three and it was excellent. There was a wide variety of spices and flavours and the bread was excellent. The sharing platter allowed us to experience all of La Reine de Saba's specialities in one dish and I would recommend it to anyone that is unsure what to order...

The spicy chicken was probably the best I have had at any Ethiopian restaurant. But the side dishes that came with the platters I ordered were not fresh or tasty (they microwave the side dishes). The Injera was decent but certainly not anything memorable. Also, I ordered a Rose wine which was served room temperature and not cold. 5 stars for the chicken main dish and the friendly service.

I love Ethiopian food! And this place doesn't disappoint. It's super vegan friendly because their savoury vegetarian plate is vegan by default and injera is the best flatbread there is; like an airy, stretchy, soft and super satisfying sourdough you can scoop up the dishes in. If you love eating tasty veggies with your hands, this place is for you.
