Nestled in the heart of the Marais district of Paris, just steps away from where we stayed, La Terrasse des Archives promises a breakfast experience to remember. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by a tastefully dressed gentleman who exuded warmth and hospitality, instantly making us feel at home.
The menu boasted classic French breakfast delights, and we indulged in scrambled eggs, coffee, croissants, and crepes. Each item was a masterpiece in its own right, prepared with care and attention to detail. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, fluffy and creamy, while the croissants were buttery and flaky, just as they should be. The coffee provided the perfect pick-me-up, and the crepes were a delightful treat, filled with the flavors of Paris.
The ambiance of La Terrasse des Archives was serene and inviting, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city outside. The interior was tastefully decorated, with touches of French elegance that brought the outdoors in. Whether seated inside or out on the terrace, the atmosphere was tranquil, allowing us to savor every moment of our breakfast experience.
Overall, our breakfast at La Terrasse des Archives was nothing short of memorable. From the warm welcome to the delicious food and serene ambiance, every aspect of our visit was impeccable. Whether you're a visitor to Paris or a local looking for a delightful morning meal, La Terrasse des Archives is sure to impress with its impeccable service and...
Read moreA little surprised by the other clients’ reviews, since we came here thinking it would be great based on them. I will admit that the ambiance and cocktails are great, and although a little pricey, this is what you get for this neighborhood in Paris.
That being said, when it comes to the food, this has to be one of the worst experience I’ve had in a while: we ordered 28e planches to share. On there came a total of 3 different food, 4 pieces each, and a small pot of guacamole. The food was cold, tasted stale (we didn’t event eat the croque monsieur since it had a weird taste), and a little underwhelming for 28 euros. Then came the worst: we had a big table, so we ordered quite a various selection of dishes, and apart the chicken which was good, the rest was either cold when served, or blend, and for the « Plat du Jour » one of the ingredients was missing (which is sad when most people that took it took it for that ingredient). Most of the dishes were around 20euros too, which was way too expensive for the quality of the food we got. Someone got their food when everyone else was done eating, someone else ordered a glass of red and got a rosé instead. All in all, maybe this was just a bad day and we were unlucky, but none of us would ever go back or recommend this...

We entered there for a bite before our visit to Philharmonie. We were treated and greeted with a lot respect and gratitude! The waiters are super friendly and polite.
The atmosphere is great too. Vibrant, French, Cosy and somewhat warm.
The only downside is the food. It is really a mediocre class meal like mentioned in previous comments. We both had beef bourguignon. The mashed potatoes were OK, but the beef was tough and fatty. The meat was definitely not fresh - from the same day which is a shame.
I feel like this could be a great place only if the chef took his job with passion and dedication..
The happy hour will save your wallet.
Our bill came to around €70 - we had champagne and a beer to drink.
We would return for drinks...
