This place was great!!!! Service by the waitress was perfect. The food was really delicious. The ambiance was nice and cozy. I totally recommend this restaurant to take people who are visiting Paris and want to try real French food, that’s exactly what we did. I only have to take off one star because the guy behind the counter was so obviously rude to us I can only imagine because we were a large group and laughed a lot during a great meal... we were of course careful not to be rude to others. It was just obvious that he was talking to the others guests about us and even offering them drinks on the house to excuse the “tourists” who were laughing and talking. But since we could understand and were not actually all tourists, it was just so obvious that he was talking about us. It’s a small restaurant. You seated a group of 9 in a tight little corner. I was a little worried because Google says this place is known for its steak and escargot, and we're more of healthy salad kind of folks. First of all we were pleasantly surprised to see that of their 4 lunch mains, 3 were salads! And even better, the salads were delicious!
Poke Bowl: 4.5 stars The salmon was so fresh and fatty, melts in your mouth. Avocado and mango were delicious too. The rice was a bit watery/overcooked and needed some vinegar to make it more like sushi rice.
Greek Salad: 4.5 stars Heirloom tomatoes were yum.
Grapefruit and Shrimp Salad: 4 stars Grapefruit was delicious and sweet. Shrimp was ok but not the freshest.
Bread they served was quite stale and hard...
Read moreI can’t say enough great things about this place. Firstly, you can tell that they care about their customers, which is not something that happens as often as it should in Paris, although I feel like it’s changing a lot. English or French, not a problem, happy to serve you in either and very helpful and attentive… one of the most attentive I’ve experienced in my last ten restaurant visits. This is a good thing.
Now on to the food. Excellent. Meat was so tender it melted. Tartar also great as well as the salad and the scallop potatoes.
Great vibes in this neighbourhood restaurant...
