Had dinner with a friend in April 2025 and the experience was very, very disappointing. We paid €170+ each for a 6-course dinner (€150 + drinks) and expected really good food at least however this was not the case. One of my dishes even came with PLASTIC...
The first appetizer that came out was interesting and delicious, however the second - the raw fish that looked amazing at first - was dry and flavourless - "seasoned with salt," the host explained. The third was the asparagus and I have to say, I do not know whether I was more shocked by the piece of PLASTIC that found its way into the dish or the immense lack of any depth of flavour.. I realised I did not take a picture of the plastic, maybe as I was too shocked. Later the host explained that this was an accidentally cut piece from the piping bag which is actually rather understandable, however all we were given to remedy this shock was a tiny free cheese platter. We still ended up paying the full €170+ each.
A fish main course followed and my guess is it was the same raw fish but cooked this time. Why serve the same meat twice? Again it tasted like it was boiled only with salt, lacking any other flavour, and was served with slimy peas. My friend did not like both the texture of the fish or peas so much that she did not eat it.
I have to say that the duck course was extremely delicious, tender and had a deep, satisfying flavour. The desserts course was excellent. The ambianced was a relaxed, intimate setting, nothing special but still lovely nonetheless.
All in all however, for that price, I would definitely not recommend the experience that this restaurant offers. As a whole, besides the delicious duck course and desserts, the experience was very sub-standard for Michelin: shocking lack of flavour in many of the dishes, very long waits between some of the courses, the plastic that ended up in my food, an insufficient apology, and the fact that one the waiters could not explain our dishes well in English - giving up halfway at one attempt - (surprising as even staff at small cafes during our few days-trip to Paris trip spoke enough English) and had long,...

One interesting rule in interior design that I learned from a great designer friend is that you want to have both a wide view, and your back safe. It’s human nature, we want to see what’s coming, and nothing surprising us from behind. It’s how we feel safe. The most famous restaurant designer respect this rule so that you feel comfortable. This is the perfect example. This Excellent restaurant is a wonderful place to be. You feel good. Times flies… isn’t it one of the reasons we like to go to nice restaurant, to forget about time? The cuisine is generous in flavor, still well balanced. The tableware perfectly matches the cuisine and the design. That gives a strong coherence to the whole restaurant. The waiters were charming. The crowd was mostly couples, friends and family. Still, I could have a business lunch here, it’s just not the district. The mood is relax, not pretentious nor hyper trendy. You’re in between bistronomic and haute cuisine. So, while you’re in the 11th, you have a young and trendy vibe, without being obsessed and obnoxious about it. I really enjoyed and appreciated this nice balanced. So you can dress casually “plus” but you can also feel free to upgrade to enjoy the moment, and honor the cuisine. It’s a very solid one star. My experience: I spent a lovely time there, and I still remember it. So it created so good memories, that I know I’ll come back .
2022 update : as promised, now that my challenge in Paris is over., I came back. And then again, I had a great time. It’s tasteful, the brigade de salle is extremely nice and the design is there to make you feel good. It confirmed and consolidated my first opinion: it’s a...
Read moreHad a pleasant experience overall. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy, private and the lighting and choice of coloring makes it have a comfortable feel to it, which I believe is essential when visiting a Michelin star restaurant.
We choose the menu with 5 course and 3 deserts. I was impressed with many dishes and tried many ingredients I thought I would never try before. The deserts especially were a great final touch to the meal.
However I wasn’t quite impressed with the presentations when it came to variation. Many of the plates looked very similar to each other, following a pattern that consisted of the main character of the dish, a silky smooth buttery sauce, a chiffonade, and a garnet bouquet.
I was expecting more interesting or at least more variation between the plates. Also there wasn’t a particularly memorable dish among the main plates. The dry aged beef was surprisingly slightly on the dry side of the spectrum.
The wine advise was great, and ended up paring fairly with all the dishes, and again, the service was impeccable. The dinner had a great flow, and didn’t take neither too long and neither it was too brief. I do have to say that when seated they said they would offer us the champagne and at the end of the dinner that they would offer us also a liquor. But I then found all of these things on my bill and since I was spending more than 400€ having also an extra 10€ for an “offered” liquor was quiet...
