I was craving Laotian food, and this was amazing!!! We ordered a ton and were not disappointed! Loved the spicy papaya salad -- so flavorful and fresh! got the laotian sausage and the dried beef -- soooo flavorful! we also got their specialty noodles, which my son absolutely adored! my husband also got the loc lac and said it was one of the best he's ever had.

Lao Chaleune is a little hidden gem. I have always loved Lao food but it is difficult to find outside the big cities. The restaurant is small, clean and understated and the staff are friendly, welcoming and polite. The food is fresh, served hot and delicious. I had the prawn nems which were amazing but the 'plateau lao' was exceptionally tasty and very good value. The mango juice was so refreshing also. Small and uninviting from outside. Smaller inside! But the food is something else. Green papaya salad is amazing. Basil chicken was fantastic. Sticky rice was nothing but that. Their local sausage dish was nice, but would have preferred a dip with it as it was a little dry. Overall the staff were very helpful and the dishes cooked and served looking nothing but stunning.
