Do not ever come to this cafe! On Sunday, Novemeber 14th, 2015, after donating blood (universal blood donor), and paying my respects to the victims of the tragic attacks in Paris, my boyfriend and I sat down to have lunch at this place. The waitress did not acknowledge us until 30 minutes. She did not bring over a menu and only asked my boyfriend (who is Caucasian) what he wanted to drink. She ignored me (South Asian-Canadian). I called her back and gave her my drink order. 50 minutes passed and revert one around us was getting their meals and their drinks on time. The three families beside us noticed that we ever not getting served. She still hadn't brought the food menu or our drinks over. The kind people next to us asked her why she was serving everyone else except us and her answer was "the kitchen's busy". It was obvious what she was doing. It was difficult to hold back my tears and even more difficult to understand why anyone would assume the worst of people based on the colour of their skin. We love Paris and all the kind people of this beautiful city. This this waitress, you are the worst example of a human being and I hope that someday someone, somewhere refuses you service just...
Read moreThe menu is not as English friendly as it should be, when I asked for clarification on one of the items the waiter (had mood swings) was rude and straight up mean to me, as he didn’t speak English well and got irritated when I asked him to further explain. Everyone around us got tap water with their coffee, while we got empty glasses. My friend asked for the restroom, after which a waiter gave her directions. When she got to it, there was a chair which was halfway blocking the way, however not in a way that would indicate it’s closed. She proceeded inside and the waiter came banging on the door and yelling at her “that’s why we put the chair there, it’s not working”. Overall, although the location and food were nice, the service was very bad, the waiters were rude, so the whole experience and vibes were negative and not...
Read morePopped in today as it looked a traditional French cafe/bistro - and we were not disappointed - the place is lovely inside and the staff very friendly and helpful - the food was absolutely amazing - we both had the entree and plat for 19:50 euro - excellent value for money deal early midweek served 12 to 5pm. We both chose the French Onion soup traditionally served over bread and guyere cheese - omg it was out of this world in the taste department. We also both ordered the plat du jour a chicken and potato dish served in a delicious sauce- I could have licked my plate that’s how good the sauce was and the chicken was so succulent - we also had a cappuccino and a fresh pineapple juice - all for £43!! I have read the negative reviews and thought are they even talking about...
