If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. Honestly, don't waste your time. A complete tourist trap. The security guard was extremely aggressive with us and did not allow for us to take a photo, even though he told us when we entered that we could when we were leaving. When we attempted to do so, he started raising his voice and openly calling us tourists with a look of actual disgust on his face (a really miserable person). We then went outside and tried to take a photo at least with lavomatic in the background, where the same security guard followed us outside, continued to harass us (even going as far as taking my friends phone and threatening to throw it and not give it back just because we took a picture OUTSIDE). He was openly yelling at us and getting extremely close to my friends face who's phone he had to the point where we had to leave. He then continued to attempt to FOLLOW us when we were leaving due to how mad he was that we tried to take a PICTURE.
The bar itself was small and cozy, and has the potential to be welcoming.
This is a complete shame because we have been looking forward to coming here for about a year and a half, and this was the treatment we received. I am entirely appalled at how horribly we were treated.. This man needs to be fired immediately and should not be allowed to work in a service industry. We were extremely polite and asked on numerous occasion as to why we were not allowed to take photos. This behavior was unwarranted and was the worst treatment I have ever received in Paris.
Seriously... don't go unless you want to be as mad and upset about this until the day after to the point where you have to make a google account to let people know how mind numbingly horrible the...
Read moreAwesome speakeasy in paris. If you are looking for a spot to grab a drink, this laundry mat turned cocktail bar is the perfect spot to relax and have a drink in a fun atmosphere. The location looks like a regular laundry mat from the outside but upon entering the washing machine is a door to a quaint and trendy bar. The signature drinks that are offered are one of a kind and mesh well with the theme of the bar.
There was a line outside of the bar when we arrived to limit capacity but it was fast moving. Once we scanned our health pass and were inside the service was great and fast, very friendly staff. (spoke French and English) The cocktail menu is provided via QR code so make sure to have your phone available. The seating is a mix of low seating on short stools around small tables and bar seating. Other than light snacks, no food (meals) is served.
At the bar, our group ordered a Lavomilk, pineapple Paloma, and breakfast club. Very good drinks. Would recommend them all. The bar also serves soft (Alcohol free) versions of all their signature drinks. You can also order standard cocktails or soda, sparkling water...
Read moreThere is this really big trend of speakeasys in Paris, it has been happening for around 3 years more or less now. This place is one of the cutest ones, and actually, the one with the best vibes overall! The waiters are super friendly, alwayd greeting you and doing their best, the cocktails are AMAZING, I tried 4 times to get the tiki cocktail (with avoado) only once was I successful, but have to say, soooo worth the wait! It's one of my go to spots in Paris for nightlife, can't recommend it enough. Be aware, there is usually a queue so be patient, it's worth it I promise! The security guy is usually really friendly as well, so strike upa conversation with him to pass the time. Best part is: you actually go in through a...
