Food is great. Service is horrible. We went there for a quick dinner as we had something previously and not hungry, but wanted to try out, since we were nearby and saw good reviews. Given we were not hungry, I asked about the portion here and whether an appetizer ( a soup) and a main (risotto) would suffice. The server said the portions are huge so it would be enough for three people (two adults and a boy). So I went ahead and ordered. The server didn’t look pleasant but I didn’t know why.
Later it arrived and the portions are not “huge” they are of normal one person size and certainty not for three. Plus we didn’t like it that much, so I ordered two more mains. Waited for quite a while and my boy got sleepy, and left with my husband.
I stayed on and waited for the two more mains to arrive. Later they arrived and I asked the same waiter whether I could change to take away and I apologized to him that my little one felt sleepy, so I had to do take aways but I’d pay the same price. I asked for the cheque at the same time.
He was not thrilled hearing that. No smiles throughout as at the start. Said will change the dishes into boxes.
I waited for another while.
Later he arrived with three plain boxes. And a cheque of 60 euros. Given his frozen face, I apologized again and said “I’m so sorry for the troubles”, at the moment he turned his head away, and didn’t say a word! Just handed me the machine to wipe my card. I paid 60, and asked him whether I could have a bag to put the three boxes inside. —“we don’t have a bag”, with no smile he turned away swiftly.
So here I am carrying three boxes all the way back to my hotel, without a bag or any cutleries.
Unbelievable! It was shocking that in this highly rated restaurant, that I just experienced the worst service in Paris during our...
Read moreWalking into the restaurant this morning, I was greeted by the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a hint of citrus that instantly lifted my spirits. I decided to indulge in a breakfast that would set the tone for the rest of my day. I ordered eggs, a lemon tart, and granola with red berries. The eggs were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of fluffiness and seasoning. Each bite was a reminder of what a simple yet skillful preparation of eggs can achieve. The lemon tart was a delightful surprise; its buttery crust and tangy filling provided a beautiful balance of flavors that danced on my palate. And the granola with red berries was nothing short of spectacular. The crunchiness of the granola paired with the sweet and tart berries made for a refreshing and satisfying end to my meal. I left the restaurant feeling content and energized, ready to take on the day. This breakfast experience deserves nothing less than a five-star review. It’s not just the food that was exceptional, but the ambiance and the service as well. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to all my...
Read moreWent to the restaurant for a meal with friends. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular but was still enjoyable!
My biggest complaint is the bathrooms. There is a urinal behind a saloon style swinging door where literally the whole restaurant can see you pee and to make it worse, there is a mirror there. The limited privacy and the openness of it is poor design at best and uncouth at worst. The flies were circling the urinal. I ended up going to the bathroom behind a door and that was equally dirty with no toilet seat with urine on the toilet and paper towel all over the ground.
Lastly, there was a cat roaming in the restaurant (including customer seating) which seems unsanitary and a trigger for allergies.
The service was fairly slow on top of this but really couldn’t get past the bathrooms...
