We arrived at Hotel Amoi mid morning and were greeted by Alli. It is a small boutique hotel and very attractive from the street. We were given a room quickly and Alli took the time to show us the breakfast area, where a complimentary breakfast was being served by the fabulous Fathia. A sitting room is right off of the front desk area. It is filled with wonderful books, refreshments, and a wonderful place to sit. The main breakfast area has a large table to seat guests. The breakfast items are fresh, and their croissants are some of the best in the city. The omelettes that Fathia makes are wonderful and a great way to begin your day. Juices, sodas, water and different coffees and teas are set out daily. Croissants, pastries, breads, pancakes, crepes with nutella are available each morning. Cheese and meats with breads are an option also. A superior meal! Breakfast begins at 7am. Fathia greeted us each day with a cappuccino, asking us our breakfast preference for that day. What a treat. ......We reserved a K room with courtyard view. Our room was very spacious and extremely clean. It was equipped with a coffee pot with pods and tea kettle with tea bags, along with a mini frig. A room safe is also provided.. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board were in the closet. A set of slippers and robe was provided for each guest. The bathroom was spacious and had a towel warmer as well as many toiletries provided. ........ Alli answered all questions that we had before heading out to walk the city. Lou also manned the front desk area and was just as sweet and helpful as Alli. We would start out each day asking questions and having them answered by these wonderful young women. ..... Hotel Amoi is located on the edge of the Place de la République and the Haut-Marais. There are many restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and shops, as well as grocery stores around the hotel. We felt safe walking to and from the hotel each day. When we did need to take an Uber, one was usually available within 3-4 minutes. ......I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Amoi for your stay in Paris. ....Thank you Alli, Lou, and Fathia for making our 8 day stay with you...
Read moreThis hotel is a complete fraud!!! The worst customer service I met!! Plz don’t book it!!!
I arrived at the hotel on Nov 29th and spent one night here. The booking for that day was done when I arrived at the hotel around 8pm because of train delay, I need to spent one night here. However, due to the tech problem of Booking system, I have a double booking for the hotel and cost double price. At that time, I was at the hotel and the hotel reception was fully aware of everything that happened that day. He told me that the hotel would refund me the amount of the repeat booking and that I did not need to do anything on Booking. I even asked him how it would be easier for them to handle it and if I needed to contact Booking to cancel the order from the website and they very kindly said they could refund it directly to my credit card.
On checking out the next day, another receptionist also said that they knew I had paid all the charges twice and they will process the refund and told me to keep an eye on my bank card. I only called when I still hadn't received a refund for half a month and they gave me a completely different answer, they can’t refund any money for me because the rule and they did not have enough time to reserve the room for another guest.(Please tell me how a hotel room that is not booked at 8.30pm that night has enough time for another customer??? And the hotel knows it is a duplicate booking error as soon as the order appears in the system!!!)
They don’t accept any truth and unwilling to listen to anything on the phone, don’t respond any email. The customer service is super terrible!! To be honest, the hotel completely lied to me, it was a deception, I believed them because it made sense to return this order from any point of view, but they tried to deceive me through time and after I left the hotel...
Read moreI’ve been staying at this hotel regularly since 2021 and had always appreciated its comfort, amenities, and previously welcoming staff. Unfortunately, my recent stay was marked by a disturbing and unexpected incident that left me feeling deeply unsettled.||Upon arrival, I was checked in by a male receptionist whose conduct was openly rude and dismissive from the moment I approached the desk. He barely greeted me, avoided eye contact, and was hostile throughout the process. This culminated in a xenophobic remark telling me to "go back to chez vous" — something I found not only offensive but completely unacceptable in any professional or human context.||As a woman traveling alone, this encounter made me feel unsafe in a space that should offer security and hospitality. I considered leaving, but friends were already staying at the hotel, and it would have disrupted our plans significantly.||To the credit of the other receptionists (all women) the next days, they were sympathetic when I reported the incident and assured me it would be escalated to management. One of them even acknowledged that the incident was discussed among staff, and speculated that the receptionist's behavior may have been influenced by personal bias towards one the nationalities I possess.||What added to the disappointment was that, after all this, the only follow-up I received from the hotel was an automated email asking me to review my "wonderful stay." No personal acknowledgment, no apology, no outreach.||I’m sharing this review because I believe guests deserve to be treated with basic respect, regardless of background or perceived identity. While this hotel has many positives, no one should have to worry about being discriminated against or made to...
