Today I visited this restaurant with my family. I'm not a fan of crabs and amara, but my father really loves this type of food and really wanted to go there. The restaurant opens at 19:00. We arrived at 18:30, although the restaurant was still closed, they still let us in and poured us drinks. The dishes arrived very quickly. The food was very tasty and worth the money. I would like to give credit to the staff, these people absolutely love their work and deserve a salary increase. Their honesty and kindness were evident on their faces and in their interactions with the waiters; they behaved very comfortably and openly. They helped with any question without unnecessary hesitation and even without knowledge of English they could explain any customer question. The restaurant looks cozy and the inside is simply beautiful. I would like to come here much more often and I would like to wish the restaurant workers all the best. On this day it was my girlfriend's birthday and I asked for dessert to put a candle in the cake. We noticed how one of the employees specifically went to the store for a candle and served dessert along with it. They even sang the Happy Birthday song. This restaurant deserves much more attention and the best ratings. This is my first rating for a restaurant on Google, and this restaurant deserves anyone’s time for a good review! (Sorry for bad English, I used...
Read moreDifferent, fun and lively! We emailed from their website at 4pm Saturday afternoon asking for a table for two for 7.30pm. They replied at 6.30pm to confirm. It was even starting to get busy at opening time when we arrived. The staff were all very friendly. I ordered the full crab, and my wife ordered half a crab and six oysters. The oysters were very good. When my crab first arrived I honestly thought I could have eaten two, but I was really full when I’d finished, and I hadn’t even eaten any of the potatoes provided as a side order in the barrel! We were given a large red bib and seated on a bench with the table covered in newspaper, with three Parisians who chatted to us a lot after we started splashing each other with bits of crab from hammering the shells (don’t expect a peaceful meal!). The food is served cold also with bread and three dips. The house white wine was nice. When you’re finished, you don’t need to wait for the very busy waiter to ask for the bill. Just remember your table number you’re told at the start, then go to the bar by the entrance and pay your bill. This is what our friendly Parisians told us to do. I loved it so much, I’d go back again today, but they’re closed on Sundays. Happy...
Read moreI initially booked this place thanks to the google review. I took a very good friend of mine from the US in order to catch up. My mistake as I did not realize the purpose of this restaurant was to be as noisy as you can while eating your crab. There are 2 floors, we were seated on the second one …. Which I realized is the one dedicated to noise. Before getting our dish I asked if we could be seated on the first floor, unfortunately it was fully booked despite plenty of open tables…. The gentleman sent me back upstairs with “ and you are lucky as today it is not that noisy “ Obviously that person has no empathy whatsoever. We ordered a fish soup (good) and a $39 white fish that was dried as hell with no sauce , we asked for one that was given to us by our charming waiter (who absolutely felt for us) All together, wrong place for us. The only reason I am giving g 1 star is related to my frustration as when we left, there were still plenty of open table on the first floor …. What could have been a great evening ended up a frustrated one because the gentleman on the fist...
