I am being generous here. Despite the other reviews, I will not be rushing back. We often stay locally and had not been here before, we didn't book just walked in, we were lucky in that they had a table. It soon filled up. Strange arrangement in that they leave a single poppadom on the table, regardless of number of people sitting, they then bring out a pickle tray, you may be able to ask for more poppadoms but we didn't see anyone do it. Now the bad bit, after using the pickle tray, they took it way, while still nearly full, and put it on another table for other guests. The food was tasty, the service was slow to poor, and when their card reader stopped working, to start with they blamed the customer, then they sent them to local ATM, which is all well and good, if you can draw money while overseas.

My awesome experience at Restaurant Le Palais de Shah Jahan! After a string of not-so-great food experiences, we decided to give this place a shot, and boy, were we in for a treat! The butter chicken was absolutely divine, with a generous amount of garlic butter slathered on the soft and fluffy garlic naan. And you know what? The mango lassi was surprisingly delicious too! The atmosphere was top-notch, and the staff made us feel so welcome. Plus, the food was authentic, fresh, and came out super fast. I'm definitely planning to visit this place again. Thanks for having us, Restaurant Le Palais de Shah Jahan! 🌟🍽️

A hidden gem! Hard to pick a favorite dish, everything was perfect and the staff was amazing. First off... highly recommend the garlic cheese nan!!! Wow. And my favorite otherwise was the spinache dish and the butter chicken. I am a big fan of butter chicken, and this place knows how to make amazing butter chicken. Drinks and dessert were delicious as well! Can't say it enough, please visit and try for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

The first time I visited this restaurant was 3 years back. The food was so good that whenever I thought of paris this restaurant came to mind. With high expectation I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant on my trip this year. I arrived in paris on Monday and was excited to visit same night but found that the restaurant was closed. So I looked forward to visiting on Tuesday and did according. So good the food was on my last trip that I decided to skip lunch and wait till donner to have a great meal at le lacs de shah jahan. On Tuesday upon arrival I was the 1st one. The waiter seemed to be surpsied seeing me as the first guest as I just arrived at 6.45 pm just 15 minutes after it opened. He asked me what I want ? I said I am here for the food to eat. he asked me to sit near the door and I ordered my favourite chicken tikka masala also ghobi , naan and rice amd asked him to make the curries a lil spicy . The ghobi and nan was good and okay and the rice basmati was excelleng good, the best I had. But I was totally dissapointed with the chicken tikka masala. They prepared it within 5 minutes afteri ordered. The chicken was old and salty. I could feel that it wasn't freshly cooked as the chicken was not at all tender and felt like plasticky with absolutely no taste and too salty. Probably it has leftover from previous night and after I ordered they just warmed it up , added a lil spice and extra salt and water. I silently continued to eat as I was hungry but the chicken I just could not eat it after biting 2 pieces. I finished my dinner with the lovely alu gobi , rice and parataha. I complained to the same waiter . Than he asks me Do u want to take it away ? I said no the chicken tikka masala was not good and not eatable . I told him just get my bill. He got the bill than I told him that I believe that chicken tikka was old food , to my surprise he challenged me that its not. So without further argument I paid the bill and asked him did the cook changed from 3 years back ? As the food at that time was just superv and so was the customer service. Really I am extremely...

I visited this place for dinner with my husband. The portions were small — which we were told that we have ordered for 2 people (unsure where this is a norm, but usually 1 meat & 1 lentil portion is enough for 4 people in most places in London). I ordered a dal tadka and was served chana dal which didn’t have any tadka (oil tempering). The rogan Josh we ordered was made in a basic tomato sauce which turned the whole dish very sweetish— it was essentially lamb curry and not rogan Josh. The size of the naan was that of a small side plate. Most food items were overpriced and I wouldn’t pay this much for subpar food.

The staff was attentive and quick despite it being a busy time of the year. The location is cosy and restaurant is accessible if you are close to Eiffel Tower.

Overall a very disappointing experience of desi food in Paris.

Note: I can’t reply to the reply of the owner below so I am adding this note to my original review. Either the person replying has lost their mind or they are extremely arrogant — either way it’s a sign of poor business skills. Instead of rudely dismissing legit reviews here, if the owner used that time and resources in improving the quality and quantity of their food they may not get poor reviews on google. Extremely poor behaviour on the...
