VERY RUDE STAFF

We went here 2 times because it's very accessible from our hotel, it's really just in front. First day was we arrive 11 in the morning for breakfast. We were told to sit down. When we chose a table, the waiter told us (in a rude tone of voice) that we couldn't sit on that table because it is already booked, when it is obviously not, the restaurant was almost empty. Almost 10mins waiting for the waiter so we can ask for an English menu. And after 5mins we called him again to finally place an order. He asked us what "drinks" would we like. But we ask for food because we are hungry. He said kitchen is closed and will open lunch by 12 and we asked how about breakfast? He said breakfast is only until 11.30 but it was just 16mins after 11. So I told and show him the time that it's not 11:30 yet. He then said that they don't have any more eggs in the kitchen hence they can not serve us anything by that time and that is why he was asking for our drinks order. Which from our part sounds like he is just reasoning. Why would you tell us to take a seat knowing we wanted to eat when you're just gonna deny us food. As a tourist, it's not really a good impression and attitude to be imposed at. Basically arriving there 11am and waiting 10mins for the waiter to finally serve us and be told that they are not serving just after 15mins of sitting there was a really bad experience and a huge...

We had a wonderful dinner at Café Beaugrenelle in Paris, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The beef tartare was exceptional—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The fish and chips were equally impressive, with a light, crispy batter and tender, flaky fish inside. Both dishes were flavorful and generously portioned.

To complement our meal, we enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine, which added the perfect touch to the evening. The wine list offered a good variety, and the staff was happy to recommend a pairing.

Worst service ever. I ordered a dish which wasn't explained properly by the server. I took one bite and didn't like it. I told the server and he started shaking his head, mumbling, and got the manager. The manager came to the table and said, "what do you want?" I asked for the cheeseburger and he said he will charge me for the one I didn't like as well. I told him then I didn't want anything and he said fine and walked away. The waiter came over after, put the check in front of me and told me that the dish was coming out of his pay and my cheeseburger was ordered. I told him no thank you and that I didn't want anything. He brought out the burger anyways. I have ran restaurants all my life. It really bothered me how the manager spoke to me and the server made it a point to tell me that the meal I didn't like was coming...
