Mangioni — Restaurant in Paris

Went to the restaurant based on 4.8 stars rating, and nice website and menu. Arrived for 8pm dinner, only 2 other patrons. Room temperature was cold, little to no heating, other than perhaps from the oven. Was seated and due to language barrier got limited help on the menu. Ordered lasagne which was tasty and served hot, perfect for a cold night — portion was ‘normal’ for one person. Baguette slices arrived as cold as the room temperature and no effort made to warm them up… the matched the vibe in the restaurant. Sorry to say but I was sadly disappointed as I was truly looking forward to having a good evening meal at what I thought would be a friendly, family style restaurant. Excellent pizzeria located very close to Gare Du Nord, but it's not just a transit pizzeria. Partners Andrea (who cooks) and Daniele (who serves) have focused on using high-quality flour and mozzarella. It's definitely worth going even if you don't have guests arriving via Eurostar. The atmosphere is really friendly. I haven't had such a light and delicious pizza in years. Even the tiramisu is exceptional, made with beaten eggs to give it a soft and velvety texture. Service was 11/10 from start to finish. The gentleman who was looking after us was polite. Food was incredible, most likely best pizza I've ever had but I am so impressed with the size of the pizza for the price, the flavour was amazing the dough and toppings was perfect, cheese was not greasy just right! ! I wish there was a size choice cause its safe to say I was ready for food comma after eating nearly all of it and just felt a bit like a waste as I'm not a big eater but my family loved it too and finished...
