Clean, chic, and perfect size suite for family of 4 (for Paris sized hotels). Well positioned hotel within a short 6-8 min walk to Gare du Nord train station (and similarly close to Gare de L’est train station) which takes you to the Charles De Gaulle airport, or also the same train station where you can catch the Chunnel train to England). Hotel is on a quiet side street and the rooms were quiet. Beautiful decor in this small boutique feeling hotel. Great AC for the summer too (and nice windows that open), Loved the suite because it had 2 separate small rooms (one had a pull out sleeper couch with a kitchenette (with mini fridge, stove, pans, electric kettle (with coffee and tea provided), utensils, plates and glasses) to cook in. Cute little bistro table by the window to have your coffee. Bottled water, safe, and slippers. In Paris, rooms tend to be smaller in general compared to American sizes, the rooms were well thought out and worked. Again with the “suite” we reserved, to have a mini kitchen and 2 separate rooms was fantastic for a family. Location wise, this is a perfect hotel to catch the Regional train to CDG airport (which takes 30 minutes from Gare du Nord and leaves about every 15-20 minutes depending on the day). Again it’s a short 6-8 minute walk to Gare du Nord train station from the hotel). About the area near Gare Du Nord-it’s busy and feels a little sketch with people hanging out around the station, but the hotel is away from that business. Just be aware of surroundings and belongings as one around any train stations and when in major cities and I think it’s fine. The hotel is about a 20 walk to the famous Galeries Lafayette shopping center which has a free rooftop view, as well as a restaurant up there (check the hours for the rooftop because may close earlier than the shopping center). The staff was friendly and we particularly loved talking with warm and friendly Jessica who was working at the front desk when we checked in. Jessica provided excellent customer service and also spoke 4 languages. We paid on Expedia about $471 total for 2 nights (breakdown below) which is an excellent price for a beautiful suite. Without the taxes and fees, it was about $204.49 a night. Paris hotels can easily be $500 a night for less space for a family of 4, so I thought this was excellent. Accommodation 1 $449.87 Nights: 2 (avg./night) $204.49 Taxes & fees $40.89 OneKeyCash used -$17.22 Subtotal $471.95 Collected by Expedia Locally collected mandatory fees/taxes* $39.30 Total $471.95

During my trip to Paris I spent two nights at the Hotel Le Rocroy. Overall, I had a great stay and I’d recommend the hotel if you’re looking for something reasonably priced with a central location. The hotel is a short 5-minute walk from Gare du Nord. Metro stops and bus stations can be quickly reached and you can use public transportation to easily get anywhere you need to go in Paris. The lobby is modern and there’s even a pool table that you can use to blow off some steam after a long day exploring. In the basement is a cozy little breakfast room. The Breakfast is decent and I’d recommend booking a rate with breakfast included if possible. The hotel itself seems a bit dated. The elevator is old and the hallways are in need of a deep cleaning and fresh coat of paint. I stayed in a double room with an OK city view. The room was spacious for Paris standards and came equipped with everything one would need for a short term stay in the city. The wifi worked great and there were plenty of outlets in the room for keeping things charged. The only problem I had was with the bathroom. It was dirty, outdated, and some of the fixtures weren’t working or completely broken. It needs to be properly cleaned and upgraded as soon as possible. The shower backed up almost right away with water and the tile grout was completely black from not being cleaned in a long time. The gross bathroom was very disappointing, otherwise it would have been a perfect stay at this hotel. I’d still recommend it if you’re traveling on a budget and looking for something close to the center with easy access to public transportation.

I recently stayed at Hotel Le Rocroy and had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is excellent — just a short walk from Gare du Nord station — making it extremely convenient for travelers arriving by train or wanting to explore different parts of Paris easily. Whether heading to Montmartre, central Paris, or catching an early train, the location really can’t be beat. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well-kept. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff. They were welcoming, polite, and always ready to assist with directions, restaurant recommendations, or any questions I had during my stay. Their friendly attitude made the atmosphere feel warm and lively, which really added to the experience. One minor issue was that the Airbnb listing I booked through did not mention whether Wi-Fi was available, which was initially concerning. Thankfully, Wi-Fi was available throughout the hotel and worked reliably during my stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend Hotel Le Rocroy to anyone looking for a centrally located, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay in Paris. Great value for money and a genuinely enjoyable experience!

DO NOT book this hotel, you will regret it!!

I'm extremely disappointed with the service of this hotel. I made two reservations at Le Rocroy back in June for a stay in July 2023. I made one reservation through American Express travel and then cancelled it when I found a better rate directly through Le Rocroy's site. I received a confirmation email upon making the direct booking through their site.

When I arrived at the hotel on the day of my reservation, the receptionist Besma, told me she did not have my reservation on file. When she looked up my name, she told me my reservation had been cancelled. She was referencing the AMEX reservation that had been cancelled and was not able to find the reservation I made directly through their site, despite me providing the confirmation email with a confirmation number.

The hotel was already full for the night, so there was no way for the hotel to accommodate us. She did call a sister hotel nearby and they had room for us, but no one expects to go to a new hotel after traveling and believing they're staying somewhere they have a reservation. I told the receptionist Besma that I didn't understand how the hotel didn't have my reservation despite me having a confirmation email and confirmation number. She just told me she didn't know and smiled?! The hotel should have taken responsibility for this mistake and found a way to resolve my issue.

Things turned really sour when I asked Besma for a way to contact the manager about this issue, given I would like to understand how the hotel lost my reservation. She told me she couldn't give me his work email address as that was "personal information." I wasn't asking for his personal email or cell phone number! She began yelling at us that this wasn't the hotel's fault. I'm still not sure how that's the case.

So, unless you want to take your chances of your reservation going through or not, I would absolutely stay away from this hotel. Even if your reservation did go through, you would not want to encounter the rude staff here upon your arrival. There are PLENTY of other hotels to stay in nearby - I would suggest the Holiday Inn as it actually looks quite nice and is a 2 minute walk from Le Rocroy. There's no reason to give business to a hotel that does not treat...
