Meunier — Restaurant in Paris

It's recommended to anyone who is looking for poor and rude services.

This is my first time visiting Paris, but I'm quite disappointed as it brought me the first negative impression. Staff who are serving me to pack the breads is ok, and actually, I think the food quality is fine.

However, a baffled and fury incident happened in cashier. I have clearly mentioned what I had ordered in a nice way and am ready to pay.

But it seems he brought me the wrong bags, and i can't tell if it's right or not as it's packed in a bag. The next customer pointed out that he had brought the wrong one. Then he turned and blamed me in an impolited way that "You don't know what you ordered?"

I really feel shocked about it as I definitely explained it well. It's an unpleasant experience and rue my days. Service ranking is for the cashier, other...

Sandwich was ok, and the pastries quite good, but not outstanding. The issue is with the service - even though there is an extra fee for on-site consumption, cakes are served in a paper box with wooden cutlery. Coffee experience is really bad, again in a paper cup. Tried twice - in the morning we were told the dishwashing machine is broken (hence no porcelain can be used) - and then witnessed a person behind us being served in a proper porcelain cup. In the evening, while I specifically asked again and mentioned the issue from the morning, the person rejected to use a porcelain - as it was „only 1h before closure, so all the dishes were already cleaned for the next morning”. Sadly, we have already paid, as at this point I would simply have left. Shame for Galleries Lafayette to host a merchant with such...

This time in Paris we tried out many different bakeries. Big names, small names, no names. And were happy, but not overly impressed.

Until we came here. It was on the last day in Paris. We enjoyed the Gourmet Food Court and bought some nice patisserie items here. We tried it right away and were impressed. Nicely made, complex patisserie with great texture, flavours and high quality ingredients. Decided to buy a whole bunch more to enjoy in the evening and to bring home. Also got some nice bread here.

Especially the pistachio and chocolate raspberry patisserie really won our hearts. Beautiful to look at and great in taste.

All in all a fantastic bakery. There's a long line, but definitely worth the wait. Prices are fair for this quality. And we will definitely be back next time in Paris. Highly...
