Not really a fan. Food was expensive and was very small portioned. Only 4 small pieces of chicken for butter chicken for 27 euro. Felt ripped off, unfortunately. Same for lamb korma which had very small shredded lamb in it ( i think... given it was so small), hardly any meat. Both curries were all sauce!. Curries were on the bland side. Then 4.80 euro for a small cup of rice...is quite ridiculous actually. (See images) All food portions, in general, were small and expensive. Taste didn't justify the cost. On the other hand, Our waitress was very nice 👌 However in general food serivce was slow and attentiveness was almost non existant. With part of our ask/order being forgotten. We decided to let it go and just leave at end.
Some other people who sat down after us had gotten their food first. Also half of our food arrived while waiting for other half to start.
Like I said. Not a fan given the slow service, price , quality, and proportions. Your money would go along way elsewhere...disappointing... I'm starting to suspect that the other high reviews are fake... dunno how my experience has been so...
Read moreI recently dined at your restaurant and wanted to share some feedback on the dishes we ordered:
65: Unfortunately, this dish was not up to standard. The flavors were lacking, and it was quite disappointing.
Aloo Tikki: This was the highlight of our meal. It was delicious and well-prepared. Saag Palak and Lamb Korma: The lamb in the korma was overly peppered and lacked salt, while the saag palak was bland and tasteless. Additionally, when I ordered the saag palak, the waiter didn’t ask if I preferred it with vegetables or paneer, which I found surprising. Kadak Chai: The chai was far from "kadak" (strong) as expected and didn’t meet the mark. Overall, aside from the aloo tikki, the meal was disappointing. I hope you take this feedback into consideration to improve the quality and service...
Read moreThe Indian food here was AWFUL. It was incredibly bland, tasteless and overpriced for how small and lacklustre the portions were. We asked the waiter if they could make it spicy or add some green chilli (as my family are South Indian and prefer some spice) he replied that they can’t modify anything which implies everything is pre-made/ frozen and reheated up. Aloo Tikki didn’t have any chickpeas which is how it’s traditionally made. They cut corners on the spice, coriander, lemon and chilli in the aloo jeera curry. Chef claims he worked alongside a Michelin star restaurant yet the food was stale and sickening. Incredibly disappointing as we came all the way from London to eat this Indian food in Lafayette. Even the people next to us were skimping on...
