We came to Milord tonight and quite late too so I was thankful the staff and chef let us have a table because the food was great! We had a cauliflower amuse bouche to begin with and it was so damn yummy. The staff were super friendly and didn’t take offence that my French was basic. I had the scallops which were delicious. We were given fresh bread which was divine. The young gentleman who served us was fantastic and his English was super (much better than the little French I know). The desert was nice I went for the fondant, it was dark chocolate and I’m personally not that big fan of, even though I know it’s good for you. When the owner or manager saw we didn’t finish he asked if we wanted something else and kindly sent over a plate of heaven it was pavlova with rose sorbet I believe. A plate of heaven with beautiful flavours and the best pavlova I’ve ever had. My birthday has just passed so that was a really nice touch and end to the evening. A huge thank you to everyone tonight including the chefs. I will be telling everyone to come here for the incredible food, beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant and warm and friendly staff. The food is so fresh and delicious it’s really worth making...
Read moreExceptionally good on all levels. Before I start speaking about the food, I would like to express my eternal gratitude to the staff of the restaurant and the manager in particular. Even though my reservation caused them a lot of headache, since the number of guests kept changing until the very last minute, with an extra person showing up unexpectedly after everyone has arrived, everyone showed so much understanding and patience that I can't thank everyone enough.
The manager was kind enough to agree to a solution that he himself was not super thrilled of, since we had to squeeze one more person to an already packed table, and we had just a wonderful time.
Now about the food! It is creative, surprises you with delicacy of combination of tastes, and gives you a lot of inspiration. Even though I live on the other side of Paris, I will be coming back on a regular basis to this place and will recommend it to...
Read moreExceptional. A culinary experience. In terms of quality it’s on par with any Michelin 1 star restaurant. Given the quality of the food, the price is very reasonable. Lunch menu is amazing value with 3 courses for €29.
Lots of creativity, lots of haute cuisine techniques.
Pulled pork croquettes? Nothing short of extraordinary. Crispy outer shell with inner pulled pork.
The tiramisu was the best I’ve had, and after discussion with the chef, it’s the only dessert they’ve kept on the menu, so they’ve perfected it over 6 years. Must get. Exceptional consistency of the cream, the lady fingers, and porch balance of flavours and sweetness.
The staff are very friendly and endearing, and the banter at the kitchen bar where they’re preparing the food is great. Just a get team of people....
