Don't believe the positive reviews!
We went there a couple of weeks ago, guided by the positive reviews. When we entered, the waiter, who was also the cook, received us and he appeared to be very nice. We ordered, and stuff appeared to be ok.
However, when we received the food, it was completely obvious that it was not fresh, probably precooked and refrigerated, and then rewarmed. The free entry appear to be from some days before. The rice was dry and crunch, as when you forget to turn the stove down, and you are rewarded with a crispy, burnt layer. We complained about it. Moreover, the meat we ordered was not properly and evenly cooked. After the complaint, the waiter/cook brought us more "complimentary" food, which also had a bad appearance. My partner and I did not eat anymore.
Later, at home, we realized that there were a lot of good reviews that were inflating the score of this place, but the recent ones were more truthful, and gave bad ratings to this place.
The waiter/cook appeared to be friendly and decent, but the quality of the food does not match with the standard of other middle eastern restaurants. If the place had a good cook, with no frozen food, this might have been a different story.
Overall, avoid coming here for eating, it is not worthy. Even if they charged less, I would...
Read moreLet me tell you a story about food that gets reused. You will have to read until the end though. Walking in the restaurant for the first time seemed like a good move and I thought I was right given my previous choices. Unfortunately I was wrong. I did my best to stay positive throughout the meal and this is my experience. Starters: A yogurt and mint which was ok. An eggplant starter which came straight out of the microwave as it was too hot. The drink: The Doug (yogurt based) - It had clearly gone out of date as I am not sure how long it had been prepared for until it was served to me. The main meal: A very generous size place, the mix grill for two people. Having not been acquainted with Persian food much I did think it was tasty but not to the level of other middle eastern cuisine. We could not finish it all and asked to take the remaining food away. I was looking forward to having the beef that I had not eaten but when the take away container came back it only contained a third of what was actually left on the plate and the beef cuts were missing. I mean the plate went back to the kitchen with at least 10 pieces and only 3 came back. Thinking back now, I definitely had someone else's food on that night and someone definitely had mine either the same night or the day...
Read morePERCHIANA Restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey with its warm ambiance and hospitable staff. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an enjoyable dining experience. The menu boasted a variety of tempting dishes, each prepared with care and attention to detail.
While most of the dishes exceeded expectations, there were a couple of minor setbacks. The saltiness of the Chenje Kebab was a bit overpowering, detracting slightly from an otherwise flavorful dish. Additionally, the Ghorme Dabzi fell short of expectations, lacking the robust flavors we anticipated.
However, these minor issues were easily overshadowed by the exceptional service provided by the attentive and accommodating staff. Their genuine warmth and eagerness to ensure a memorable dining experience made it easy to overlook these small hiccups.
Overall, PERCHIANA Restaurant offers more than just delicious food; it provides a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service that leaves a lasting impression. Despite a couple of minor flaws, our overall experience was overwhelmingly positive, and we would gladly return to enjoy the warm hospitality and flavorful...
