POKAWA Poké bowls — Restaurant in Paris

I spend the day in front of a screen so I’d prefer not to have to keep using one when I take the trouble of actually going to a play to eat! Their system of ordering is over complicated and off putting.

It doesn’t show you the basic price so you select a few things and the total price is surprisingly high. A major fault in their system but perhaps by choice.

The selection is disappointing compared to other poke bowl places I go to. No seaweed, no wakame, no kimchi, no aubergines. Too many fruit options.

I left without ordering as the price was nearly twice what I’d pay elsewhere for more choice and more...

Not what I was used to with Pokawa. I’ve been eating at Pokawa when they first started opening in Paris and it was delicious. The quantities very generous as well… I tried ordering recently from Deliveroo and it wasn’t as good as I expected. My teriyaki hotbawl barely had any vegetables (a few ridiculously small brocolis, a few pieces of butternut not very tasty) and same with the cheese… It was mostly rice and quinoa. And I ordered the Medium one (+3€) It wasn’t horrible but all in all very disappointing and not worth the price ! And as you can see it looks nothing like...

I left the place feeling disappointed. I ordered and paid using the self-service screen. Then the staff told me that two of the main ingredients were unavailable. I asked for a cancellation and refund and they told me that wasn’t possible, and that I had to choose something alternative. So I felt forced to have a poke that in the end I didn’t like. They gave me an extra bread / cookie for free, but that doesn’t compensate...
