I went to Popeyes - République for one item only: 5 pieces of Spicy Fried Chicken Tenders. Let me paint the picture: When I walk into the Popeyes, the counter is empty, and all I have to pay for my food is cash. So, I defer to the self-order kiosk and order my 5 Spicy Fried Chicken Tenders. Unsurprisingly, I couldn't pay by cash there. Instead, I decide to wait at the empty counter for someone to come take my order. After a couple minutes (by this point, a small line has formed behind me) finally a worker comes to take my order. I find myself a seat, next to the window, thinning the rest of my patience waiting for just a few chicken tenders. Another couple minutes pass, someone comes and places a tray with my 5 Spicy Chicken Tenders, except - there aren't any Spicy Chicken Tenders. Sitting there, staring at me from the plate are 4 stone-cold Regular Chicken Tenders.
Excuse me, how do you mess up an order like mine? All I asked for were 5 pieces of Spicy Fried Chicken Tenders and Popeyes still managed to get it wrong. The funny thing is that the receipt taped to my tray displaying "5 Spicy Tenders", but the one on the plate of food wrote "4 Chicken Tenders"! I assume they put someone else's Chicken Tender order instead of mine, meaning someone else probably also got a wrong order! In the end I swallowed my loss: I ate my 4 Regular Chicken Tenders and left - one Spicy Chicken Tender short.
PS: I probably sound like a Karen right now, which is what I strive not to be, but how does one even manage to mess up an order like mine? Come on! At least Popeyes - République's...
Read moreHonestly my first two visits where amazing! But this time I passed with someone who has not yet tried Popeyes and I did not expect such bad coincidences!! We ordered tenders menu and I took a grilled chicken burger as recommended by a friend. Our order took a really long time, and then the tenders came without fries. We took a coca zero and a regular coca, and was surprised to see two exactly looking cups with no clue which is which! The waiter then smelled the two cups to take multiple "guesses" at which is the zero! Sorry to say I was not sure about his guess obviously. And the cherry on top, my burger was VERYY spicy! I was sure they got the burger wrong, i went down with my burger and receipt and told the cashier I did not order a spicy, but ordered the grilled chicken, and showed her my burger. She replied it was the only way it's made, and that it is the burger I ordered. I went back and ate it even though I dont like spicy. And later on confirmed with my friend that it was actually NOT the burger I ordered. Sorry to say but the cokes should have been changed, the burger should have been replaced. To be fair the food is always very tasty and the waiters are friendly but with no "quality" customer service. If the management wants to verify, it was 7 November order...
Read moreI came across Popeyes a few weeks back and I was so excited to see it in Paris however I was instantly heart broken when the staff told me that they don’t serve halal chicken. I feel this is so so so discriminatory of brands like Popeyes, KFC, McDonald’s, Burger King to not have proper halal chicken and meat options. This is an European country which thrives on diversity and inclusion yet there are no halal options at such huge brands that are loved by so many Muslims around the globe and even doctors and popular chefs now recommend Halal meat is the better option. You should seriously consider bringing halal chicken options for your Muslims consumers. They deserve your meals as much as any other human being. I still ordered your biscuits which were delicious! thankgod! they were edible for Muslims. PLEASE PLEASE BRING HALAL CHICKEN OPTIONS!!!! Around 10% of the population in Paris is Muslims and if you add metro areas...
