Very very disappointed.
We were a Japanese couple traveling in Paris. We visited the cafe in 29th April 2018. It was in the afternoon. A woman welcomed us but she was not willing to guide us to a table. We needed to ask her twice to do so. Besides, she did not wipe the table. Another woman came us to apologize and to cover up her lack of service. She wiped the table for us instead of her.
If that was a case of color of our skins, that was very disappointing. Since the cafe was about a concept of Macha, which is Japanese traditional tea. If someone can not respect another culture, he/she should not work in that place. Find another.
I am just wondering, most people in Paris can not live without tourists in terms of money making , but they try to maintain their pride by discrimination against other race? That is very funny and stupid story.
I have totally changed my view of Paris and French people after my visit to Paris this time. Maybe...
Read moreOne of the nicest brunches I've had in Paris. Also the staff is super friendly and helpful. If possible, try to make a reservation beforehand for brunch, it tends to get quite full on the weekends so just call ahead to get a table, otherwise it's booked out and you're gonna have to wait around 30-50 min. I definitely recommend it though, great japanese food place! Also, quite a unique little concept, I'm a huge fan of "themed brunch places" by this, I mean that I like when they take a different spin on brunch food, in this case, giving it a japanese touch, they specialize in everything Matcha so if you're into that, definitely head on there. I've been 3 times I think, keeps getting better! especially since the menu changes seasonally. must...
Read moreVery cute cafe with a calm vibe. I tried the matcha parfait and umami matcha. The parfait had sweet cream, red bean, matcha ice cream and a crunchy element which I think was cereal with a matcha chocolate coating. The taste was very nice and the crunch from the cereal made it easy to continue eating. For the umami matcha you can choose white or dark chocolate, but they recommend the white. The drink was nice and smooth and just a little sweet from the chocolate, which is perfect. But for me the matcha flavour was a little too hidden, it could have been a little stronger.
In addition to the cafe they also sell other Japanese condiments and goods such as matcha, sake, matcha bowls and so on. They also have English...
