Do not go here for the food that's for sure. I know they have a nice terrace and all but it's not worth it, I'm telling you.

You know sometimes when you get a salad and there is not enough dressing on it and you're thinking 'come on guys why so little' 'there can never be to much dressing on a salad so don't be cheap'. Well.. In fact today I found out there CAN be to much dressing on a salad. I ordered a simple Cesar Salad.. What can go wrong you might think.. Instead of a salad I got a bowl of soup (the dressing) with some salad leaves in it.. to make it worse the dressing was not nice and the chicken was dry. All in all I wasnt a fan of what I ordered but it can happen.

In the meantime my friend found a bug in her salad which made my appetite go away like snow before the sun.

Since I didnt eat my salad, I thought at least let me get a good dessert to make me see purpose of life again. (Chocolate can do that to a woman) I ordered a mi-cuit chocolat (chocolate cake with some soft chocolate inside). Honstely since I have been living in France I did not have such a bad mi-cuit chocolate! The horror! It was not baked (ok normally the cake should not be totally baked). But this one was not at all. In the dough there were parts of the flower used.. like it wasnt mixed properly.

I told the waitor of both problems.. and all of the sudden he didnt understand English. (Before when showing me my table he actually spoke English with me). So I told him again in French but he made me out that it was my own issue and not his fault.. I told him it is not his fault but someone should say it to the cheff.

All in all...

Dreadful absolutely appalling disgusting AVOID. Steak was the toughest, most chewy, disgusting cut of beef I’ve ever tasted. I genuinely believe it’s either not beef or it’s an offcut. I’ve had thousands of steaks and this was the worst. I said I wanted it ‘medium rare’ and it came out still mooing. If we didn’t have to head to the train station straight away, I would have got them to redo it immediately. However, due to hunger and time I ate the most edible bits, but there wasn’t much. We showed the staff and asked for a refund for the disgrace of a steak, but they refused because I had eaten some of it and the potato on the side. They were rude, condescending, and clearly didn’t give a crap. The service was also horrendous, but I’m running out of words here. PLEASE GO...

So we took some time counting out bills and coins (four people paying separately) before handing the short, male, possibly Southeast Asian server the plate of bills and leaving. Seconds later he ran to us and suddenly our total was 10 euro short?? I suspect he swiped it for "tips", but my partner is a conflict avoider and just gave the guy extra money. The food itself is fine, though definitely way more expensive than even other restaurants in the area, and the basket of bread was very stale.
