Rita — Restaurant in Paris

Visiting Paris for the first time from the UK, we were staying in the charming area of Montmartre and noticed this restaurant due to its lovely Parisian exterior and bustling morning atmosphere. It looked like the perfect spot for breakfast, and we were genuinely looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, our experience on the morning of Friday, 30th May, was far from what we expected. We were served by a particularly rude waiter who came across as unfriendly and unapproachable. From the moment we sat down, we felt rushed and unwelcome. Despite making an effort to order politely, even attempting to speak in French, we were made to repeat ourselves multiple times, only to be met with apparent irritation and passive-aggressive behaviour.

We approached the situation with kindness and patience, but the hostility we experienced was completely unnecessary and left us feeling disappointed. Ultimately, we decided to leave without eating.

When visiting a city like Paris and spending a significant amount to do so, a basic level of courtesy is expected. Sadly, this experience lacked any sense of hospitality. Based on our visit, I would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant. I would give zero...

Just giving a review to a staff that assisted me and my son today. My son is feeling sick and suddenly started coughing and vomiting on the street next to Rita. One of your staff assisted us by giving us water and tissue. It’s a small gesture but i truly appreciate the kindness. I didn’t get his name but would like to thank him again for his service!

Very good food, nice atmosphere, many local people eat here so you can assume its overall a good restaurant, we also had great experience. We are tourists at the beginning the people were a bit histant (but frindly), after a while they loosen up and are very open and welcoming.
