This boutique hotel in the center of Montmatre district is a real gem. Scrupulously clean and comfortable without the big price tag usually associated with Paris.
The staff go out of their way to accommodate one’s every need including local directions and transport information to other districts in Paris.
The hotel is well situated to take advantage of a close Metro Station Lamark and an even closer Bus line #95 which will take one to St Lazare, L’Opera and onto central Paris. Also Bus #80 to go straight to the Eiffel Tower.
It is surrounded by restaurants, brasseries, pastry shops, wine shops and super markets. All one could ask for as well as the wonderful atmosphere of Montmatre.
Neat and tidy, very friendly and helpful staff. Good location, very close to Lamarck metro station(2-3 minutes walk). 12 minutes walk to Sacré-Cœur. Good value for money. Would definitely stay there again.
My business room was cozy for European standards. The shower was a good size. Basic toiletries like shower gel and shampoo were provided. Towels were clean but on the rough side. Note that the toilet is a bit of a squeeze.
Was pleasantly surprised to see a kettle to make tea. There is a small elevator (French style) with transparent walls (I liked it).
Hotel check in was easy and we arrived early and staff was able to accommodate me. Had to move on my second night due to heavy noise in the front of the hotel with lots of motorcycles passing by both traffic noises throughout the night and the sound of workmen drilling in the early hours of the morning and garbage collection. The staff graciously moved me to a room overlooking the garden. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if traveling alone. Room is only suitable for one person.
The staff all speak English and are very attentive. Housekeeping services were immaculate.
The breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Breakfast is from 7-10:30am. Delivery comes every morning with fresh baguettes and croissants that were absolutely amazing. They had fresh organic brown eggs that you could yourself boil or they had some that were hard boiled for you. I decided to hard boil them myself since I like them runny in the inside. Set your timer for exactly 4 minutes. They had an assortment of jams, butter, fruit, fresh OJ, tea and coffee. My room came with the breakfast. It is about 11€ if it’s not included. To me, it was well worth it.
There is a PC and printer in the lobby for you to print out boarding passes. I just emailed the hotel to print my boarding passes, museums passes and train passes and they graciously printed them and put them in an envelope.
Most places close by 11 pm, there is always UBER Eats that delivers (Pizza Hut). This was my first time ever in Paris and my 8 nights in this boutique hotel without the hustle and busyness of big chain hotels is just what I needed. Will definitely come...
Read moreWe stayed here for 5 days and thought the service was excellent. The hotel staff took the time to email us before our trip to help us with any questions we had about our stay or Paris in general. They even arranged a driver to come and pick us up from the airport and take us back (at a reasonable additional fee) The service and staff were very helpful. They all spoke English but didn't mind letting me try out my horrible French! They were kind and informative. You also can't beat the location. What a great area to stay in!
Some quirky things I wish I had known beforehand: The key to your room controls all of the electricity. When you enter the room, you must insert the key into a pocket on the wall that activates the electricity. When you leave the room, you have to give your key to the front desk to hold onto. This disables all the electricity in the room. I had extra batteries and devices that I thought would charge, during the day, while we explored Paris, only to discover that even the electrical outlets do not work when you are out of the room. Just plan to charge at night when you are sleeping. Bring extra chargers to do all of your devices at the same time and you'll be fine. Had I known this, I would have brought enough chargers to do everything at once. There is no in room coffee maker. I had to get dressed and stumble into the lobby to help myself for coffee. The coffee in the lobby is delicious though and I wasn't charged for it which is also nice. They do offer a breakfast for 13 Euro. I had it once to try it but it is just a typical Parisian continental type breakfast. I think 13 Euro was a bit high. The pastries and coffee were good but I think your money would be better spent at a cafe or patisserie two doors down and you'd you would only spend about 6 euro.
Overall we had a fantastic stay and a beautiful experience and for the price that I paid (About 100 dollars a night via Priceline) I would absolutely recommend it and...
Read moreRooms were spacious & renovated. Hotel gave off quaint Montmartre understated Parisian vibes. There was good closet/shelf space that made storing things easier.||New Hardwood floors. Tall windows that went up to the ceiling was a plus. Good C port & USB built in outlets. ||Housekeeping keeps rooms clean & AC is unbelievably quiet & works well! ||Aiden at reception is extremely nice & helpful & even went beyond to make some calls for me.||I really liked the entire 8 days I stayed here & would stay here again. There was one reviewer who claimed the hotel touted a plaque that said 4 star but it def says 3 star which is what it is. ||The hallways def need to be updated but rooms make up for it. ||The main drawback & only reason I’m giving this place a 4 vs 5 stars is that it was advertised on Expedia as "Soundproof" - which I was expecting - but this isn’t the case. I was lucky to have quiet neighbors but I did hear coughing my last night in room above me - so the ceilings are thin & one afternoon I def heard the couple nextdoor having sex. So if you plan to come here with your SO and get it on - just be aware the walls are thin!||Also my door was clustered in middle of other doors so when people unlock or knock nextdoor I thought it was my door. ||Reception did tell me the hotel recently changed owners and they planned to renovate the walls to be soundproof in a few months - so maybe by winter or spring my issues with noise will be resolved!||Tip: while this is common in French apartments, many North Americans may not like that some rooms have the toilet separate from the Sink & shower - so if your toilet needs to be in same room as the sink then def request it!||- The rooms don’t have fridges but they let me use the one in their kitchen. ||The area is a perfect walking distance to the Metro Lamarck stop & the bus 95. The laundromat across the street was convenient. 2 grocery...
