We walked in into this restaurant after visiting Sacré Coeur without checking any reviews. We’re hungry and stopped in the first place that looked trustworthy, aaand… And this place is a gem!
We ordered 2 glasses of red wine, Foie Gras with toasts, Galician octopus, mussels, 2 desserts and a coffee (we were very hungry).
Foie Gras was delicious and it came with the 3 toasts that were SO GOOD, we had to order one more portion! Galician octopus with sweet potatoes was melting in the mouth, was incredibly tender - that’s how you know it is cooked good! Just WOW and kudos to the Chef! Mussels came in a HUUUGE pot and with French fries, we could barely finish it! The sauce was also delicious. Wow again.
As for desserts, they order them from a different place and I really liked that the waiter came to us to demonstrate available desserts selection and explained where they buy them and what are the flavors.
Separately I want to highlight our waiter. He was working alone, and except for us there were more people sitting inside and outside. He was fast, charming young gentleman, he made us feel very comfortable. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name (we visited the place yesterday), but I want to say Thank you. It was also lovely, that a lady sitting outside had a birthday, he brought a cake with the candle to her singing Happy Birthday, the lady asked him to sing in French and wow, he did so great and he was very artistic.
Overall, it was very great...
Read moreInitially we went to this wine bar to have a planche de charcuterie with a nice bottle of wine but decided to try their seafood instead. I was blown away by the platter of No. 2 oysters, freshly transported from Normandy, and accompanied by sourdough bred and butter. We also ordered the mussels and fries, perfect as well, bonus for the homemade mayonnaise. To make it even better the staff was super cool and really advised us well on the wine (tried one of their Sauvignon). Will definitely go back to try the rest of the items...
Read moreSuper! Immensely enjoyed the quality meal, lively atmosphere, and English conversation with the host. Its located on the backside of Sacre Coer, in more of a residential area - and so much nicer than the overrun other side. We were the only American tourists in the place, seemingly frequented by local regulars. There is outdoor seating but we ate in the quieter inside. I loved the mussels (moules) and fries. My teens enjoyed the charcuterie and shrimp linguine. Would highly...
