Hands down one of the best authentic places in Paris to get ramen noodles. Surprisingly not many people (tourists) seem to know about this place yet which is great because sometimes you have to wait for a really long time to get a table at other Japanese restaurants of this quality. Sanjo is a short distance away from the area you find most other Japanese restaurants, so you have to know about this place to go here and not just stumble upon it like you would if it was with all the other places. Ok, now about the food here. I have been to the other ramen joints here in Paris and Sanjo has the best quality, taste and price of all the others. I think what sets them apart is the broth. I ordered the Tonkotsu. It is rich and hearty and home style feeling, not overpowering and perfectly salted and with several flavor layers. The ramen is home made and incredible as well. The ramen were so good that I finished all the noodles and still had broth left, so for a couple euro you can get extra portion of ramen!! The pork is divine and perfectly complimented and elevated the ramen and tonkotsu broth. An absolute perfect lunch on a cold day. I also ordered the gyoza because I love them and I was starving. Excellent as well and the sauce was top. I would give Sanjo more than 5 stars if I could. Word will get out about this place, and then there will be long lines for tables. 90% of the people eating lunch while I was there were Japanese. Also a good sign. I think next time I will order more additions in the ramen. The price is great too for what you get. Left Sanjo with a full belly...

Was recommended this place by a friend and was excited to see yuzu ramen on the menu. Last time I tried was at Afuri in Tokyo and it was quite an interesting experience so I wanted to try it again.

The soup was a chicken soup base with quite a strong flavour of yuzu, it wasn’t as heavy as the usual ramen soup as the yuzu gives it a very clean and healthy flavour.

Noodles were cooked perfect and loved the ajitama, it was just the right amount of saltiness and melts in your mouth. Simple goodness but it’s not always done very well.

Overall, I would say it’s one of the best ramens I’ve had in Paris, would definitely visit again to tried the normal ramen.

The place gets busy quickly during lunch hours even on weekdays from the office crowds. Recommend visiting on the dot when the...
