So much to share but I will say this... This hotel, Best Western Hotel Paris Louvre Opera, is one of the BEST hotels in Paris one should stay at while visiting Paris, France. Located in the heart of Paris in between the Louvre muesem and famous Opera Theater. This hotel is perfect for the traveler that has never been to Paris and wants to explore Paris for the first time; as well as returned visitors. I highly recommend this hotel because of it’s excellence in service, cleanliness, comfortability, affordability, breakfast, and location. That being said, PLEASE, since I am highly recommending this hotel, all I ask is that all visitors DO their part too; by showing EXTRA KINDNESS and be COURTESY to their staff and management. They really go out of their way for their guests. And it would be a SHAME IF A GUEST showed up with great expectations only to MISTREAT such kind and professional people.
So, I am not preaching BUT, if you are the type of busy body, very finicky, rude, ungrateful, selfish, arrogant, cheep, prideful, with no manners of a person; then you have no business doing business with such kind and gentle people that work at this hotel.
There are too many BAD customers out there and bad behavior is NOT acceptable nor an excuse to be used against businesses that are trying their best to give the best of who they are professionally to their clients. I can’t tell you the amount of people I have seen at first hand MISTREAT and ABUSE such great professional service men and women in this business industry just because they feel they can.😢 NOT COOL!
I HIGHLY recommend this professional hotel with no exaggeration!
However as “GUESTS”, WE too need to represent ourselves and our countries with great dignity, respect, honor and love towards other. ESPECIALLY, when it comes to business services being rendered to us as “GUESTS” at this hotel, by such professional, kind, polite, hard working people. And any other hotel for that matter. I can’t stress enough that in order for one to recieve respect, honor and even love; ONE MOST FIRST SHOW AND GIVE RESPECT, HONOR through humbleness to others in love. This my friends, is a strength not a weakness. And we create peace this way through our cultural differences while traveling abroad; so it starts with us the “guest” being that perfect guest. Because I guarantee, “you will catch more flies with honey”. And when one is kind, through love, giving respect and is polite; these attributes are returned to you a hundred fold by others. This must be the standard with any business we do or handle and in how we conduct ourselves, represent ourselves and our countries in ANY hotel or business setting.
So please, though I highly highly, recommend this hotel, just please in return, be a courtesy, kind and a loving guest. Show respect, honor and be polite. Because, no exaggeration, they really really work hard to go out of their way in doing an excellent job for all their guests. So yes, an awesome hotel to...
Read moreIf you only care about a great location. and someone smiling at you from the reception desk then this place is for you. We had the most horrible room, dark, gloomy, rundown with old carpets in the room and hallways. Tiny tv on top of bathroom door. No outlet near bed to charge your phones. No closet to speak of, 4 hangers in a cramped opening in the wall that wouldn't close. There was a window opening over a tiny skylight so natural light coming into the room was practically zero. Bathroom had neither window nor a fan and thus a really bad humidity smell. with a tiny sink with no room for your toiletries. Don't expect shampoo and body wash - it's just one bottle that serves for both. Shower was so narrow and if you tried to move you could scald yourself at the hot water handle since mixing valve was outside the wall, a typical french plumbing. Toilet was so small and low and unstable when you sat in it, felt like 19th century had come back to paris. No hooks to hang towels to dry after use so their claim to commitment to saving the environment by asking us to reuse towels sounded like a great joke. Don't get fooled by the response that oh you chose a classical room next time make sure to pay even more for the better room- nothing classical there nor a room, more like a closet. Had it been just the room size maybe you could put up with the insult of having to jump all over your luggage. But they could at least have done right by their guests by installing newer toilets ( they had such new one at the hall bathroom!) and outlets near bed. If you think it's impossible in Paris to find stale pastries and bad cheese then you are wrong. They got plenty of that in the mediocre breakfast buffet. And the pictures are totally misleading, bright and full of light large spaces, which this hotel isn't. The breakfast is practically served at the entrance and there are 4 tiny cramped tables for two next to each other. A manager seemed to occupy one of them .This felt like a total scam. I do not recommend and we won't go...
Read morewe chose this hotel for its outstanding location. From the moment we arrived, this small boutique property conveyed a great sense of welcome and professionalism. The young lady (Josephine) who checked us in (we would soon learn that she was in fact the General Manager) was as delightful as she was helpful in getting us settled. We were a bit taken aback when we got to the room as it wasn't much larger than the king sized bed that owned it. BUT, as we were only sleeping there and upon trying the bed out for comfort (which it most certainly was) and based on the warm greeting from Josephine decided it was just fine! The well appointed bathroom had a great shower so we unpacked and headed out to start our Paris experience. In the morning, a delightful breakfast was offered including scrambled eggs inventively served in individual glasses (something I decided to try at home) Delicious cappuccinos were served on request along with an array of other thoughtful options to satisfy anyone's preferences. We had the good fortune to meet several other staff members who, like Josephine were warm and eager to assist us in any way they could. We were only spending 2 nights at this lag of our trip before moving on to Marseille and beyond for 2 more weeks but vowed to return whenever we had the opportunity to need a hotel in Paris. As a point of reference, I spent over 20 years in the hotel industry as an executive for an international hotel company so I know good service and attention to guests needs and wishes. Josephine and her staff get my highest marks for their...
