First, I am enthralled with these perfumes. They are truly exquisite. I bought Pelagos and Erawan, after first buying the discovery set. As I make my way through the samples I am having a great time being surprised by the inventiveness and originality in them. These do not smell like any others - and when your nose tells you “oh, I know where this is going, it’s just like X”, don’t believe it because these perfumes develop in entirely new and exciting directions. Just great all around.
I visited Paris for a number of days with my family on holiday at the end of November and knew I wanted to visit the Dusita store and smell their perfumes. The first night I had only a short amount of time and stopped in with my daughter for some very quick smells and a discovery set. The store is so lovely, and the woman who helped me was great and super helpful.
The next day I returned to make my purchases and had the great luck to have Ms. Umavijani in person welcome me and my daughter and lead us through the perfumes and the brand. She was unbelievably kind and generous, and couldn’t have been nicer to us. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that the perfumers and owners are real people, and I am so happy to have met her and remembered that niche perfumery is at its heart a group of passionate (and very talented) small business owners.
So, long story short, I love my Dusita perfumes, I love this Paris store, and I love the people who welcomed and helped me, including the perfumer herself! What a great experience. I don’t typically post reviews but felt that I had to share. Please check them out next time...
Read moreVisiting Parfums Dusita in Paris is not merely about purchasing a perfume, it is an immersion into an olfactory philosophy that bridges French perfumery excellence with Thai cultural inspiration.
I chose Erawan as my first bottle, and it perfectly encapsulates what makes Dusita stand out. The fragrance opens with an intriguing herbal-green accord of hay, clary sage, and petitgrain. As it develops, a serene warmth of vanilla, oakmoss, and soft woods emerges, creating a meditative dry down that feels both natural and refined.
The house excels in its quality of raw materials and mastery of blending, offering complex evolutions on skin. The boutique atmosphere is elegant, with staff providing in-depth explanations from technical note structures to inspirations. Dusita is one of the rare niche houses that successfully introduces Asian identity into the global perfumery scene with elegance.
Pricing is on the higher side, in line with niche perfumery standards, yet justified by artistry and originality. Some creations may be too daring for newcomers, but for those seeking distinction, Dusita is a...
Read moreI have been trying to find a new perfume, with Amber and Rose notes, on the fresh side. I decided that Rosarine was very nice and bought some after using up my sample. The opportunity to buy three half ounce bottles was very welcome, and the choice to try three samples for each bottle purchased was just gorgeous! I really enjoyed reading about each scent, just like reading about food or wine. I am able to try several of Dusitas offerings: first one I put on is Fleur de Lalita. I’m so looking forward to trying Erawan, Moonlight in Changmai, Anamcara and Le Pavillon D’or. I already know I love Rosarine so I got a couple of them to share with my daughter. The packaging and art on the stationery accompanying the perfumes is also beautiful. I appreciate that they are promoted as being at least somewhat natural. I’m so happy to have this experience. And they are real perfumes and have good sillage. The cost was so reasonable too, everything you see in the photo came to me in less than a week for 135.00. How could they do...
