We went there on a Sunday evening just for the live Jazz Manouche concert. We didn’t eat any food so no comments for food. We sat outside on the street and had some drinks. The service was very polite and quick. Although the cafe didn’t have WIFI, one of the waiters, William, very generously shared his personal hotspot for me. Although I have been to so many times to France, first time I’m experiencing such hospitality. There’s no charge for the live music. The musicians walk around the tables and ask for a tip during the breaks and at the end. I’m a jazz lover and specifically gipsy jazz. I can say that the music quality was quite high. However because this was a restaurant setup, they didn’t make too many solo improvisations. The drink prices were average. Overall, highly recommended for a Sunday night live jazz activity.

My husband and I booked a table on heated outside terrace here for our 50th wedding anniversary. When booking, stated this and requested booked for jazz in bar later. On arrival, were ushered inside (?didn’t fit the instagram profile they wished to portray?) When handed to our waiter the message of our 50y was passed on with a look?humour of shock. This ?Maitre de also returned to advise we should have his favourite octopus. I asked our waiter about this recommendation and he said “he’s silly”. Ordered cocktail my glass had very obvious chip in it. We’d waited a long time for this to arrive so were very surprised to be immediately given a ?new drink in another glass. I asked our waiter about the jazz to be told no, jazz is only on Wednesday night and we’d have to come back for this and unless eating there again, we’d have to pay 10 euros cover charge each. Then Placed food order and my duck was presented with 5 tiny Dutch carrots with a side order of soggy barely warm ‘fries’. I attempted to cut into the duck breast with the steak knife they’d supplied but the blade couldn’t cut through the white tendons of the dark red meat - not pink as ordered but raw. This was sent back with our waiter and I sat there - meanwhile hubby had finished his meal and after many reminders/ enquiries we were presented with ‘complimentary’ glasses of champagne. So we waited - and waited next to be offered any song of our choice to be performed at our table by the singer of the night then we waited (asking over & over) for the duck/chef to be checked. Finally not having touched the champagne, not having received the cooked duck, not having finished the suspicious ‘glass’ negroni and in tears I left my husband to finalise the bill and have our say as to the disappointment of our special evening. We’d planned it with care excitement and expense - we’d flown from Sydney Australia and we were shocked. We’d had one full hour starring in an episode of Faulty Towers without recompense. We arrived at 8pm and out at 9pm with no acceptable resolution. This was our one and only celebration of this style and importance. No excuses for our...

Serpent a Plume, a delightful culinary gem tucked away in the heart of Paris, offers a unique gastronomic experience with its phenomenal tartare and fresh ceviche. While the restaurant may lean towards the pricier side of the spectrum, its delectable offerings justify every penny spent.

The tartare at Serpent a Plume is truly a work of art. Every bite bursts with flavors that are expertly balanced and thoughtfully combined. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are evident, resulting in a dish that elevates the traditional tartare to new heights. Whether you opt for the classic beef tartare or explore their creative variations, such as salmon or vegetable tartare, each rendition is a testament to the chef's expertise and culinary finesse.

The ceviche, another highlight of the menu, is a refreshing symphony of zesty flavors. The delicate and tender seafood, marinated in a tangy blend of citrus juices, is enhanced by the addition of herbs and spices, creating a harmonious medley that dances on your taste buds. The ceviche at Serpent a Plume showcases the restaurant's commitment to using the freshest ingredients, resulting in a dish that truly captures the essence of the sea.

While the experience at Serpent a Plume is undeniably delightful, it's important to note that this establishment falls on the pricier side of Parisian dining. With mains ranging between 20-30€, it caters more to those seeking a special occasion or a splurge-worthy culinary adventure. However, the quality of the dishes and the attention to detail make it a worthwhile indulgence for discerning food enthusiasts.

Beyond the tantalizing tartare and ceviche, Serpent a Plume offers an elegant and inviting ambiance, complete with attentive service that enhances the overall dining experience. The menu also features a selection of carefully...

attitude dégoûtante envers les visiteurs. Mangez vos propres tacos 🌮 ! PS: So why you send clients to eat tacos!!??? if you can not offer a table!??? why so rude stuff!??? you say that you don't have tacos in your menu, that's clear, so why your waiter is talking to a visitors who speak French fluently and sending them to go in anther place to eat tacos!??? We came to eat tacos!!!! ??? did we ask at your restaurant them? so why your stuff sent me to go to eat them somewhere ??? we asked tacos!!??? we are Mexicans??? you are fine?i live on place de Vosges and fist in my life in paris i face this disrespect attitude!!!!i will tell to all what a service you have there! i am sure your food is same level as your arrogant stuff! There are enough good restaurants in our area who serve better than in yours. immediately after you we went in "Bofinger" snd enjoyed real good french food. Serpent a plume is the worst rest in this area. I don't advise! They send visitors snd their business partners to eat tacos when they can not offer a table and speak to visitors in English and rude way!!! Its not high level french restaurant, you are worst than "tacos"...
