This hotel was a joy. Exactly what we wanted. Excellent location, wonderful, gracious staff. Out of the busy sections of Paris but a very convenient ride on the bus or Metro to all major sites. We took the bus to the Eiffel Tower, the D'Orsay and the Louvre, also quick ride on the Metro but on first day we wanted to see the area. The Metro to Champs Elysses and The Arc. Great restaurants and cafes in the area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Loved the coffee shop across the street and many great, reasonable restaurants in the area. Loved spending time at the Chilean bar next door on our last night, drinking shots of Pisco with the locals. Great experience Merci!!!

Updated for 2025: I've stayed in this hotel every time I come to Paris, it is my home away from home. The rooms are a nice mix of old-world charm (beamed ceilings/wood floors) and modern (bath with shower, adequate outlets.) I appreciate the closet for hanging clothes as well as the extra daybed which can be used both for laying things out and for relaxing after a day of sight-seeing. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The location is good-lots of places are very walkable, and there is a Metro stop very nearby. Being just off a main street, the locale is quiet. I loved having a ceiling fan since it was July and hot.

Hotel de la Place des Vosques is charming -- a perfect blend of old and new. I found the rooms clean with a clever layout, maximizing space within the headboard/storage wall. The bathroom was small but efficient, with high-quality materials. The location was fantastic near the train/metro stops and shops/restaurants/sights. Staff members were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves history with modern conveniences and who appreciates quality and clever design. This hotel is a true gem!

This charming hotel is very understated yet lux. From the plant filled entry and cozy sitting room it is very clean, updated and quiet with good insulation between rooms. I never heard the talk or activities of other guests. The bathrooms and amenities were very modern with great soaking tubs in some rooms and the best hair dryers I've had in any hotel. The soaps and shampoos are from L'Occitaine!!! That says it all. It has an excellent continental breakfast with fresh squeezed OJ included. The staff were so friendly and helpful in a very homey and casual atmosphere that you could mistake as your own home. Thanks especially to the warm and friendly Rena who helped in so many ways and to Benjamin who called me when I was delayed in arriving and stayed late to make sure I was safely arrived and settled in. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe and cared for. I'll see you again! It is the perfect location in the hip shopping paradise Le Marais and steps away from the beautiful Place d'Vosges with its fine dining and sunset strolling scene. It's also easy walking distance to the Bastille metro, the Left Bank, the Ile de la Cité and the Seine where you can jump on the on/off boat and ride along to several stops including the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. I stayed a week and loved every minute....

My husband booked this hotel through a booking website. We did not have all the information from this site we needed when we booked, if we had, we might not have booked it at all. My husband has a problem with his foot, and walks with a stick. Our room was on the third floor, and the lift only goes from the first floor, so each time we went to the room he had to negotiate the very picturesque but very difficult stairs. We had a standard double, and it really was very tiny, even by Paris standards (we’ve been to Paris quite a few times. The whole hotel is in shabby chic in style, and the old large shabby chic furniture cluttered the room up. No room for a chair to sit on. The modern touches were incongruous. The room was clean and warm though. The reception on arrival was business like but not warm or welcoming. The night and weekend staff were more pleasant. All in all not the best stay, although, of course the location is excellent. We’d come back to the Marais, but...

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend. Very cosy hotel in a busy and central part of Paris. Very easy to get around with both Bastille, St Paul and Sully Morland stations very close by, from where you can easily get to all main sites. Great restaurants and bakeries in the area. Close to clubs and bars at Bastille. Also close to theatres. A lot of small shops of different kinds in the area.

Nice room with great windows and a lot of light. Decent bed, but not amazing. Very clean, change of sheets every day. Very friendly and helpful staff, even to a couple who don’t speak french. They even allowed us a late check-out without additional charge. Breakfast was decent, but would just go 150 metres down the street for a better and cheaper breakfast at a boulangerie.

Do not stay here if you have troubles walking stairs as the lift doesn’t take you to ground floor.

All in all, had a great stay for four days in June 2024. Will probably stay here the next time I’m in...
