I went to this place based on the previous excellent reviews and was not disappointed.
We were greeted with the warmest welcome by the extremely friendly staff.
The food exceeded our expectations, not only was it large portions it was incredibly high quality.
The first day we tried the Croque Monsieur, it was the best I have ever had.
We went back for happy hour which is 5-8pm, where I discovered a new cocktail I have never had called Caipirinha. I went on to have ALOT more of these lol. They were made by the fantastic barman who also noticed my son was watching Lion King on one of their TV's and decided to put it on another TV which was closer to our table for him to watch. Sometimes its the little things like that that show you the level of care and attention from a place.
Also their chips (frites) are amazing! My son said he wants to live in Paris so he could come here everyday, which we actually did while we were here. 😂
This is certainly 1 of our favourite places that makes you feel welcome, relaxed and unrushed. It’s so chilled out with impressive decor, service, food and drink.
I highly reccomend and only hope to come back one day!

Read moreI came to the Hideout twice - first time I’d arrived at Gare du Nord from London and I needed to make an urgent online business call/meeting at a place near the station. I’d prep’d a little on my journey and used Google maps to find The Hideout. The staff were ace - they said I could use a table inside at the back - perfect! I repaid the hospitality by having a Hide lager and charcuterie board - both excellent. Second time was on my return trip to London - this time a little more relaxed, a couple more of those lagers. Yes there are tables outside but if you sit inside you’ll listen to some really eclectic music on their playlist. It’s a great little place really close to the...
Read moreIt’s an ideal place to have a drink or eat something before going home. The waiters are really nice and speak English, which is great as many customers are tourists. Also, the menu is in English too.
I tried a table of cheese and a red wine, and they were both delicious. It was a pity that there weren’t any other gluten-free food on the menu, as I would have loved to dinner there (my hotel was pretty close).
The music was OK, played in the right volume. However, it was all (at least most of it) in English. It would’ve been great to listen to French house or something like that (as we’re...
