I visited this bakery and asked for 2 croissants and 2 baguettes. To my surprise, the woman behind the counter repeatedly echoed my order in an agitated tone — “2 croissants and 2 baguettes and...?” — despite me clearly replying, “That’s it.” The interaction was confusing and left me quite taken aback.

The shop was extremely busy, with a long queue forming outside. Understanding the pressure they were under, I tried to place my order quickly and clearly to keep things moving. However, my attempt at communicating seemed to offend the staff. "Can I get 2 croissants and 2 baguettes?" Why is that so bad?

After I paid, I had to insist multiple times to receive my baguettes, even though they were right in front of the cashier. Oddly, they kept avoiding me and refused to hand them over, which was both frustrating and surprising. I genuinely didn’t expect to be treated that way and in the moment was confused why anybody would do this to another human being.

It felt like they were deliberately trying to waste my time, despite me doing nothing wrong. The whole experience was disappointing and unnecessarily hostile.

Unprofessional, infantile, ego-centric behavior like this — especially toward tourists — reflects poorly not only on the business but also on the values they uphold. No one deserves to be treated with such passive-aggressive contempt over...

Lovely Patissery /Boulangery/ cafe. Always my go to escape, when in Gare du Nord. About 2mins walk from station itself (Hall 1 gate 20/21 nearest) and so much nicer, friendlier and organised not to mention tastier. The staff speak english and are also good humourdly tolerant of school boy French, plus are very attentive. Forget hotel breakfast go here, lunch baguettes - lovely works of edible tasty art, a treat for all. My only comment is that the seating area is a little cramped and always in demand (which is why only 4 stars), so big parties not a good idea. However this an Artisan Boulanger perfect for small groups, never disappoints! My photos don't do the whole place justice, go there for breakfast the variation of pastries and piles of baguettes are amazing. Sit by the wide windows and people watch. On the whole most of produce does travel well and are always a treat at home returning from my Paris visits to the UK. The illusion lemon creme pate as in my photos, absolutely amazing flavours and textures. But don't take my word for...

I was disappointed with the service from the ladies behind the counter . If you don't speak French and not one of their kind expect to be ignored and disrespected . I bought the macaroons , croissant and a tuna wrap , and water. There were 5 people ahead of me and 15 people behind me . I was in line for a good 15mins and noticed everyone behind me were served and taken cared off , I kept asking for help but the ladies behind the counter just kept ignoring me and was also not listening while I kept telling what my order was . I was asked to move on the side and wait for another salesperson to help me , unfortunately no one was paying attention while I kept saying I have been waiting for a long time .I was finally served after all the people in line were all gone . The ladies at the counter are racist and discriminates if you are not one of their kind . The food tastes mediocre and sandwiches are dry . I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone . There are a lot of very welcoming place around the area with good and...

Run into this bakery totally by accident; this is officially my favorite place to have breakfast, lunch and possibly dinner. Cannot wait to come back to Paris again, just so that I can stop by this bakery again. What a hidden gem! When I searched for places for food, this bakery did not standout on the GoogleMap search. I passed this place and totally could not resist their gorgeous looking dessert, but I already had a dinner plan. So I purchased a dessert to go. So yum! (and my dinner with lots of Google reviews with 5 stars turned out to be just so so.) Came back the next day for breakfast: wow, the size of the croissant and the price I paid.. (compared with how much one has to pay in the US with much smaller size). I could eat them all day. Came back get a sandwich for lunch; so yum. Yes, I went to the store three times in my 18 hours transit through Paris. I need to come back to stay in Paris for one week so that I can eat every single items in the store.

I absolutely love this place! We found this place immediately after we started exploring the area near our hotel on our first evening in Paris. Everything looked so amazing that we had to stop. We tried a few of their sandwiches and pastries. We were not disappointed at all. Every single thing we ate was delicious. It was so good that we made it a point to stop by every single evening we were there. The young ladies working there were very friendly and helpful. Our French is very limited, we barely know the very basics. But several of them know English which made it easy. And they also took the time to teach us how to say several words in French. On our last evening we of course stopped again. Before we even told them that it was our last night, they had already bagged some free pastries for us!!! I can’t recommend this place enough! And I can’t wait to come back!
