THE EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE WAITRESS REFUSED TO SERVE US FOOD AFTER WE HAVE WAITED FOR 2 HOURS

We were visiting Reims for only 24 hours, So we found this restaurant to dine and it turned out to be a wasted evening.

1 hour we waited for a salad (few green leaves with sauce) to start our dinner. And they even forgot to give us bread. Then 2 (!!!) HOURS FOR ACTUAL FOOD and the main older waitress eventually refused to give us our food becuase she ‘heard’ we asked for a bill and cancel food, when we CLEARLY IN ENGLISH said we want our food NOW after 2 hours waiting for it AND a bill ! She gave away our steaks in front of us to people at nearby table and walked away like we weren’t even there.

There were two waitresses for a fully booked restaurant, super understaffed. We understand however it’s not our problem, they should hire a second chef and few more waiters.

We weren’t rude at any point saying that the message should be sent to the manager. However we were treated horribly.

Basically terrible service, nothing else to say. No food were given to us as a punishment of asking them to do their job That woman shouldn’t be working in hospitality with people.

P.S. Another younger lady (who was speaks English) was very nice to us. She apologised for such a long delay on service and we had no problem with her. However the older one was adamant and didn’t want to listen to anyone.

Avoid this place unless you have 3 hours to waste and want to...

My 5 friends and I came here after a day exploring the wonderful champagne region. We noticed the almost ridiculously high star rating and assumed it was an attack of the bots but decided to check it out anyway just in case. We started with a salad (the only option) which was well received and everything was nice and fresh. We saw the pictures prior to coming so really this was just to make us less guilty about the steak and chips to come.

We gleefully received the steak and it was cooked to perfection to each person's taste. We tucked in ravenously and by lord the meat was so tender and delicious it was a real treat. Everyone greedily munching on their food and the waiter made some (seemingly) strange comment about the next lot coming out soon. We were confused and assumed our pigeon French / their very good English had confused us. It turns out we had indeed heard correctly & they had said it perfectly. A whole other serving of steak and a HUGE bowl of chips arrived, again cooked to everyone's choice. It was equally delectable and a very welcome surprise.

The value for money here was fantastic, the 2 servings of steak was fantastic

If you're looking to enjoy some of the best beef in Reims while immersed in a truly authentic French atmosphere, this is the place to visit! I was determined to give my beef-loving husband a dining experience he'd talk about for years to come, abd safe to say our visit to L'Atelier Entrecote Reims was just that. Focusing on a single dish (steak frites), the restaurant has absolutely nailed it. The beef was juicy and absolutely melted in the mouth, the fries were crisp and delicious while the sauce was the real star of the show!

We also enjoyed a delectable cheese selection of chevre, comte, and camambert along with crepes suzette which really packed a punch!

Our little date night was only elevated by our exceptional server Cedric, who was attentive, funny, and really went above and beyond to give us an unfortgettable experience. An absolute delight!
